Young and the Restless: Victoria Newman Weaponizes Custody in War Against Billy Abbott
Victoria Newman threatens to send Johnny and Katie to boarding school after Billy Abbott’s corporate takeover. Is she protecting the kids or punishing their father? Y&R spoilers inside.

VICTORIA NEWMAN WEAPONIZES JOHNNY AND KATIE IN BRUTAL WAR AGAINST BILLY
TL;DR: On this week’s Young and the Restless, Victoria Newman threatens to send Johnny and Katie to boarding school after Billy Abbott‘s corporate takeover scheme spirals out of control. Billy has already lost Sally Spectra and his brother Jack‘s support — and now his children could be next.
Billy Abbott Just Lost Everything That Matters
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) thought seizing Chancellor Industries was his crowning moment. He walked into that CEO office, called it home, and genuinely believed he had finally beaten Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) at his own game. But Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is about to prove that corporate trophies don’t mean a thing when your kids are on the line.
And she is absolutely not bluffing.
WHAT HAPPENS TO JOHNNY AND KATIE ON YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS?
Victoria is pulling Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie (Sienna Mercuri) out of Billy‘s orbit entirely. She sat down with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at Chancellor Park this week and laid out a full-scale plan of attack — starting with boarding school. Victoria wants both kids removed from Genoa City completely, far away from the wreckage Billy created when he teamed up with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to take over Newman Enterprises and double-cross Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Nate pushed back. Hard. He asked Victoria the one question nobody else had the guts to say out loud — are you doing this to protect the kids, or to punish their father? Victoria didn’t deny it. She told Nate the fight is going to get worse, and she’s not waiting around for Johnny and Katie to become collateral damage in Billy‘s war.
DOES VICTORIA NEWMAN HAVE THE LEGAL POWER TO PULL THIS OFF?
Yes. And that should terrify Billy right down to his bones. Victoria Newman adopted Johnny years ago after Chelsea Lawson terminated her parental rights. That makes Victoria his legal mother in every sense of the word. Katie is Victoria‘s biological daughter. Billy has parental rights, sure — but Victoria holds devastating custodial leverage, especially if she argues that his reckless corporate war has turned the kids’ world into an active danger zone.
Think about it. This is the same man who partnered with Phyllis to unleash an AI weapon capable of bleeding companies dry — companies that belong to his own children’s family. Victoria has every receipt. And she is ready to use them all.
WILL BILLY ABBOTT LOSE HIS KIDS OVER THIS?
Victoria Newman is delivering a brutal reality check to Billy on Thursday’s episode, and it is going to land like a sledgehammer. She’s telling him straight — his alliance with Phyllis, his calculated assault on the Newman family, and his all-consuming obsession with destroying Victor have consequences. Real, devastating, life-altering consequences. The kind that mean his children are about to vanish from his daily life.
The timing couldn’t be more catastrophic for Billy. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) already packed her bags and walked out on him this week. His own brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is throwing a wrench into his plans and flat-out refusing to validate the power grab. Billy is standing completely alone at the exact moment Victoria is going for the kill shot.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR VICTORIA AND BILLY?
Could this mean a full-blown custody war is barreling toward Genoa City? Don’t be surprised if Victoria Newman formalizes everything with legal action, dragging Billy‘s corporate scheming into a courtroom as Exhibit A. Given his history of spectacular self-destructive spiral-outs and her ironclad legal position as both biological and adoptive mother, the deck is stacked brutally against him.
But here’s what Victoria might not be counting on. Nate warned her — clearly, directly — that shipping the kids off could blow up in her face. If Johnny and Katie eventually figure out they were exiled to punish their father, they may never forgive her for it. Victoria is dangerously close to becoming the one thing she has spent her entire adult life running from — a carbon copy of Victor Newman.
