YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS RECAP HAS ASHLEY DOUBTING SALLY

TL;DR: This Young and the Restless Recap catches Ashley Abbott keeping her doubts about the bride at Billy Abbott’s rehearsal dinner, plus Sally Spectra and Coco Spectra swapping feathers, Billy facing a family quiz on video, Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman getting caught by an alarm and by Victor Newman, and Billy being sent home alone.

Ashley Skips the Cheerleading

Ashley Abbott arrived at her kid brother’s rehearsal dinner with her manners on and her enthusiasm left in the car. She teased Billy Abbott alongside Traci Abbott like a dutiful sister, but when Jack Abbott got misty over how seldom the siblings share a table, her face stayed politely neutral. A woman can attend a party without ever attending the party.

After the plates were cleared, Diane Jenkins and the Abbotts were musing over why Billy and Sally Spectra fit together so neatly among carnival folk. Jack, who misses nothing, asked Ashley whether she was truly ready to welcome the bride. Ashley answered honestly, and honestly was the problem. Sally’s messy past gave her reservations, and she wasn’t sure Billy, or any Abbott, could survive losing someone else. Nothing cools a champagne toast faster than a sister with footnotes.

A Feather and a Few Tears

Before dinner, in Coco’s private suite upstairs at the club, Sally gave Coco Spectra a rundown of the Abbott clan. Coco was unbothered, which is the correct emotional setting for anyone who has already met the Forresters. Then she handed over a gift, a feather necklace, and Sally’s eyes welled.

The sisters drifted back to the feather Sally once gave Coco as protection against carnival life, a gesture straight out of Dumbo. Sally also admitted that she and Billy came close to a carny ceremony of their own. Dumbo had his feather, and now Sally has hers.

Billy Faces the Family Quiz

The best seat at the Abbott table belonged to a video screen. Sally’s great-aunt and grandmother had texted a list of questions for Billy, and the family set up a video introduction while Coco read the questions aloud, including whether Billy planned to sink this romance as well. Billy owned his messy résumé, vowed never to hurt Sally on purpose, and declared that Sally had never learned to quit. Then the great-aunt wanted to know how the couple would keep things spicy, considering the bride was already expecting, and the whole table howled. Interrogation by relative is the one wedding tradition that works at every tax bracket.

The rest of the night ran warmer. Jack had been surprised that Sally chose the family home for the rehearsal, and he used the moment to tell Billy how proud he was before hugging him tight. Kyle Abbott texted that he was on his way and strolled in later. Jack floated a carny-themed birthday party down the road, Coco told Traci she adored her books, and Billy observed that Kyle could scheme as skillfully as either of his parents.

Jack then greeted the carnies as kin, promising them respect and affection forever, Coco wept, and everyone raised a glass to love. Afterward, Diane felt the baby kick, the group traded baby-name jokes, and Sally told them all that their warmth mattered more than she could say.

A Hideaway and a Hidden Viewer

Elsewhere, an alarm yanked Kyle and Victoria Newman out of bed in their love nest. He had a dinner to reach, she told him to get moving, and he answered by kissing her, which is how a man announces that his priorities are negotiable. A second romp later, Kyle finally made it to the door.

Victoria declared that her ex deserved a fresh chapter. She and Billy had adored one another, she said, and she had been tightly wound until he relaxed her. She also decided the two of them had slipped under everyone’s radar and needed no smokescreen, a theory with the structural integrity of wet tissue paper. She nudged Kyle out the door, dressed, and began sniffing his clothes before reminding herself that this wasn’t who she was. Her dignity arrived about nine seconds after the sniffing started.

Victor Newman rang to remind Victoria about a video meeting with Japan, warning that tardiness would look dreadful. She swore she had it handled, wrapped a blanket around her shoulders, and dialed in. When the meeting ended, Victor phoned his daughter and confessed he had been watching the whole time while hidden behind incognito mode. She had done well, he said, but the background looked unfamiliar. Where was she?

A friend’s place, Victoria claimed. Victor wondered whether this had anything to do with the punk named Abbott. Incognito mode, it turns out, is a billionaire’s favorite way to spy on his own child.

Meanwhile, Kyle told the dinner crowd he was returning to work, a destination nobody asked him to verify. He returned instead to the hideaway, where Victoria described her scare, and the two were soon kissing.

Billy Gets Walked to the Door

Billy begged Sally to leave with him, though she was committed to sleeping apart. The family sided with tradition and reeled off carny superstitions to explain why he had to behave. Their reasoning wasn’t airtight, and nobody checked it against a rulebook, yet it held.

Billy and Coco walked Sally back to the club, where Coco headed upstairs and left the couple alone. Billy tried once more to talk Sally into a sleepover, and she talked him into leaving instead. The groom had spent the evening surviving a video interrogation and a skeptical sister, and a polite exit was his only prize.
