Genoa City’s Iconic Locations Keep Disappearing and Y&R Fans Are Over It
Y&R fans are fed up. Daniel’s apartment, Lily’s condo, Abby’s mansion, and Victor Newman’s chessboard have all vanished from Genoa City.

TL;DR: Daniel’s apartment, Lily’s condo, Abby’s mansion, and Victor’s iconic chessboard have all disappeared from Young and the Restless. Fans are fed up with Genoa City’s vanishing locations.
Where Did Everything Go?
Young & the Restless fans sometimes don’t know what they’ve got until it’s gone. Where is Daniel Romalotti’s apartment that he paid Sally Spectra to decorate?… Perhaps the same place as his motivation to get a new job. How long has Daniel been unemployed now?
What about recurring Abby Winters? Why just recurring? She’s had ALL of the last names on Young and the Restless. One of them is Chancellor, as in the name of the mansion she lives in, which Y&R fans see even less than Abby.
Then there’s Lily Winters. We haven’t seen her condo, which is across the hall from her cousin Nate’s condo, in months and months. Related… her pending pause/maternity leave has been disguised by giant coats and even larger bags.
Finally, Young and the Restless fans haven’t seen Victor Newman’s chessboard since he moved into the new Newman Ranch. The Mustache needs to chill. Can his son, Adam, return his chessboard on Y&R already?

Fewer Sets & Less Sex: Bedrooms MIA in Genoa City
Once upon a time, on Young and the Restless, Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) apartment was all the rage. He was excited to move into a really nice building in Genoa City, where his at the time girlfriend, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), was also living in her own condo, and her cousin, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), lives across the hall in a penthouse.
Daniel paid Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to bedazzle it, and it was the place to be for any lady who wanted anything to do with Daniel or his dad, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). Now Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) is dead, and Danny picked The Bug (Lauralee Bell) over Daniel’s mother and co-parent, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Speaking of Lily, her condo hasn’t been seen in about as long as Daniel’s apartment, but her cousin Nate’s condo is seen across the hall from hers for all Winters, Inc. high-level meetings and anytime Nate has anything to do with his now ex-friend, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) &/or his new mother figure, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). Perhaps by the time Lily returns from her pending maternity leave, she will have a place to live with a bed again on Young and the Restless.
Alas, the lack of Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) and her current home with her family, the Chancellor Estate on Y&R. Fans LOVE Abby, but not so much her current husband, Devon Winters (Bryton James). Frankly, Devon is more grumpy and depressing than Eeyore on Winnie the Pooh. He totally brings Abby down. How Devon made his way from sperm donor to beloved husband and father living in the Chancellor Estate is a wonder to SO many Young and the Restless fans.
Victor’s Chessboard Called & It Wants Him Back
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) could not have been more meticulous when he had the Newman Ranch rebuilt, yet he didn’t have any of his people move his freaking infamous chessboard to the new Newman Ranch. Now, his chessboard could not be more lonely.
His chessboard doesn’t get played at all. The new residents of the now old Newman Ranch, Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson (Mark Grossman and Melissa Claire Egan), are as boring as Christopher Robin on Winnie the Pooh, speaking of Winnie the Pooh.
Phyllis Summers is now getting more action than Victor’s chessboard on Young and the Restless. Even though Victor often played chess by himself while summoning people to his ranch house, they were both happy.
