Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Nick Newman, Daniel Romalotti, and Nate Hastings are doing better detective work than GCPD’s Chance Chancellor in solving Heather’s murder and other mysteries in Genoa City.

It appears that when the Genoa City Police Department finally realizes that Detective Chance Chancellor isn’t that great of a detective, they will have options to consider bringing on board. Chance Chancellor has single-handedly forced three Genoa City residents to get to the bottom of all things serious & not right on Young & the Restless.
Michael Baldwin Coins New Detective Nick Newman
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) isn’t always the smartest guy in Genoa City on Young & the Restless, but he might be onto something with suspecting foul play with Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) medication during the time period that Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) was murdered in. With what Y&R fans know, considering this idea is definitely worth while. Too bad Detective Chance Chancellor didn’t think to look into Sharon’s meds. Chance is back to blaming the District Attorney for everything going south in this case. While Attorney Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) is not thrilled with now Nick obtained this pending evidence he does give his efforts merit & is doing his due diligence to clean up how Sharon’s were obtained & instigated to be tested so if there is anything not quite rite with her meds, they will be admissable in court. Ergo, Michael coined Nick “Detective Nick.” in the Newman Enterprises C-suite during their last meeting of the minds to save Sharon.
DIY Detective Daniel Romalotti Upon Arrest by Chance
Detective Chance Chancellor could not have done any worse with Heather’s case from the start. It was abundantly clear that the evidence Chance used to arrest Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) for Heather’s murder was planted. Yet again, when he was called on it, he blamed the District Attorney & told Daniel’s brother who was doubling as his girlfriend that he was just doing his job. Well that approach didn’t sit well with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) & now they are on a break & if Sharon Newman hadn’t confessed to killing Heather & Daniel hadn’t been exonerated, Daniel wouldn’t be on break right now from being a DIY Detective in Genoa City.
Coming Soon: Freelance Detective Nate Hastings on Y&R
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) has been on the downlow since Thanksgiving on Young & the Restless, but once he’s back on screen he will trying to track down his half brother Damian who he just learned about from an old girlfriend of his dads, Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). Instead of hiring an actual detective Amy has outsourced Nate as she is sick & low on funds. Which, on another note, makes Y&R fans wonder where Amy Lewis is staying when she is in Genoa City. She hasn’t been seen at the GCAC & there has been no evidence of Nate offering to pay for a room for her. Amy hasn’t run across Jordan (Colleen Zenk) & Ian Ward (Ray Wise) at the Genoa City Motor Arms, at least yet. Perhaps Freelance Detective Nate Hastings can figure out that too when he’s trying to track down Any’s son Damian.
Detective Work in Genoa City Not By the GCAC Detective

His mother Nina Webster (Trisha Cast) hasn’t even been back to Genoa City yet to scold her son for getting back into law enforcement since he returned to the police department.
