Look closely at who is sitting at Thursday’s bachelorette. Lily Winters is raising a glass while hiding a biopsy from her man, and Victoria Newman is at the same party as her daughter Claire Newman, whose ex Kyle Abbott is Victoria’s secret lover. The same week, Cane Ashby and Kyle are roasting the groom at the Abbott mansion. Two parties, two secrets, and either one could blow before anyone says I do.

Monday, October 5
Cane tells Phyllis Summers their deal is done: she now owns the Genoa City Athletic Club and an office building by Newman Enterprises, paid for with loans and a lot of nerve. She admits to Daniel Romalotti that the building exists to remind Victor Newman every single day that she’s still in the game. Then she tearfully begs Summer Newman for another chance over the phone, and Summer cuts the call short.

On the highway, Matt Clark pleads with Patty Williams to turn herself in until she screams, “I would rather die than be locked up again!” and grabs the wheel. At Society, Lily tells Nate Hastings the lab is backed up, then admits to Devon Winters that her cancer may be back, while Cane only hears that something is going on. At the ranch, Victor plays his cards close to the vest and backs up Nick Newman‘s story to Detective Burrow, who says Joe hasn’t been seen since his run-in with Nick.

Tuesday, October 6
Matt comes to slumped over the airbag with a bloodied face and a head injury, and the passenger seat is empty because Patty has already slipped away. He cleans up his wound and climbs out of the wreck on unsteady legs, alone. At Crimson Lights, Nikki Newman corners Nick about Joe, and he admits roughing him up but insists he didn’t kill him. A flashback shows what he left out, with Nick emptying the pockets of an unconscious Joe and leaving him in the alley. Later, at the bedside of an unconscious Marie Kirkland, Nick tells her he made sure Joe will never deal again, and all the while he’s carrying the drugs he took off Joe.

Sharon Newman‘s fresh start turns out to be a redone house, and she shows it off to Mariah Copeland, calling herself an empty nester. When Nikki stops by with the news that Joe is missing, both women worry Nick is slipping. At the athletic club, Victor greets Phyllis’s new holdings with a “Bravo” and says he gave her Arabesque to thank her for saving Nick’s life, but Cane warns her that Victor will turn on her. Lily and Devon find out that Nate is seeing Stephanie Simmons, and Nate’s bandages finally come off.

Wednesday, October 7
Matt makes it back to his room at the Riverbank Motel, broke and sure nobody in Genoa City will be glad to see him. He weighs warning everyone about Patty, then ends up arguing with the voice in his head, which tells him that if he’s smart, the kindness that made him weak died in the crash. Matt insists he’s not a bad guy and can still be the man Phyllis sees, then stumbles back from the mirror and takes off. Later he turns up in the athletic club’s foyer, quietly watching as Phyllis shows Sharon and Nick the club she now owns.

That tour is Phyllis’s surprise after a rough afternoon at Sharon’s. Sharon calls her over to talk about Nick, but Nick turns up first, and when Phyllis walks in he feels ambushed by his exes. They spot his bruised hand, and he tells them the cops were in on his plan but Joe got away. CBS bills it as a pact, but the two women split on the fix, with Sharon pushing him to go back to rehab and Phyllis insisting he doesn’t need it because they can help him themselves.

At Crimson Lights, Sally invites Esther Valentine to the bachelorette, and Chelsea Lawson and Audra Charles admit guests keep canceling because of a stomach bug that’s going around. Out on the patio, Adam Newman tells Billy Abbott he doesn’t want the wedding to be weird, and Billy says it’s too late for that. Audra overhears, storms over and reminds them both that they owe Sally the best day of her life, so the two men agree to find a way to be civil. Elsewhere, Diane Jenkins and Nikki declare war over Jabot Classic and Vibrante, and Nikki asks Jack Abbott to get through to Nick, who keeps refusing meetings. Diane then tells Michael Baldwin she’s determined to make Vibrante fail, but a stomach cramp has her worried she’s caught the bug, and she bows out of Sally’s party.

Thursday, October 8
Y&R opens its 54th season with Billy in the hot seat, as Kyle turns the bachelor party at the Abbott mansion into a roast with himself as roastmaster. Michael, Cane and Kyle take their shots at Billy’s prenup-free marriage, his ex-wives and his career hopping, and Jack caps it with the tale of the yacht Billy lost gambling before predicting he and Sally will be great parents. Billy takes it well and says he can’t wait to start his life with Sally. During a break, Cane tells Jack he’s not going to blow it with Lily this time, while Kyle ducks into the kitchen to text Victoria.

Over at Society, a stomach bug has thinned the guest list, so Chelsea fills the room at the last minute with Victoria, Claire and Lily, and she and Audra blow up over a forgotten cake before making peace. The surprise guest who crashes the party is Sally’s younger sister, Coco Spectra, with Ashley Campbell debuting in the role, and Sally Spectra is thrilled enough to float the idea of Coco moving to town and working for her. The gifts bring the bride to tears: their great-aunt Sally Spectra’s gaudy earrings from Coco, Audra’s late grandmother’s rosary, and a brooch from Jill that Katherine Chancellor once gave her. Abby Winters gets everyone dancing, and when Esther shows up with an exotic dancer named Hank, Sally politely passes.

In a quiet corner, Traci Abbott gets Lily to admit her cancer may be back and urges her to tell Cane, sure he would step up. Then Lily’s phone lights up with word that her biopsy results are in, and she steps outside to read them, looking anything but relieved, with Traci right behind her. The episode doesn’t say what the results show. The hour ends with Sally doubling over with cramps, wondering if the baby is coming. Is it labor, or the bug that’s been knocking out her guest list?

Friday, October 9
Cane pushes Lily to come clean, and previews say she finally opens up to him by week’s end. Audra and Chelsea are forced to put their differences aside for the bride. Billy’s relationship with Sally is tested one more time before the big day.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Next Week (October 12-16)

CBS hasn’t released next week’s episode descriptions yet, so here’s where the threads point. The network says Billy and Sally’s wedding is fast approaching, and with the bachelorette behind them, the Gatsby-themed big day looks close. Spoiler chatter has the pregnant bride going into early labor at her own wedding, with Adam pulled into the delivery. Thursday’s cliffhanger, with Sally doubling over at her bachelorette, hints the baby may not wait that long, though a stomach bug is also going around. Nothing official backs the chatter, but Adam is on the guest list and this show never wastes a wedding.

Patty is the wild card. She slipped away from the wreck on Tuesday, and a fugitive with a grudge against Diane Jenkins is the last person anyone wants near an Abbott wedding. And Lily’s biopsy results finally arrive Thursday, so once Cane knows what they say, the real question is whether the man she shut out becomes the one she leans on.

Nick’s Secret and Victor’s Move
Nick told his family and the police the same story: he set up a fake buy to catch the dealer who sold to his friend Marie, it got heated, he threw a punch, and Joe ran off. Friday’s closing flashback showed something much uglier, with Nick beating Joe unconscious in an alley and leaving him there. Marie is still hospitalized after her second overdose, Victor had security turn the police away at the ranch gate, and on Monday he vouches for Nick in person. On Tuesday Nick admits the fight to Nikki but swears he didn’t kill Joe, then tells an unconscious Marie he made sure Joe will never deal again. The week’s promo has Adam telling Victor that Nick is hiding something, “definitely from us, maybe even from the cops,” and Victor answering that he’ll take action himself.

Sally and Billy’s Pre-Wedding Pressure Cooker
Billy’s bachelor party turns into a roast at the Abbott mansion, with Jack Abbott, Kyle, Michael Baldwin and Cane, his old rival in the Chancellor fight, all taking their shots. Over at Society, Sally’s party ends in a scare when she doubles over with cramps. Adam told Sally on October 2 that he’ll come as Chelsea’s date only if Billy is okay with it, and on Wednesday Audra catches the two men bickering and tells them they owe Sally the best day of her life. Chelsea and Audra have been sniping over who runs the bachelorette and even blow up over a forgotten cake, so their truce is strictly for Sally’s sake, and the outcome of all this pressure may shape the ceremony itself.

Lily’s Scare
Lily’s yearly scan turned up an enlarged lymph node, so her oncologist sent her to a Chicago specialist for a biopsy, and she told Cane the trip was business. On Monday she tells Nate the results are stuck at a backed-up lab, and Devon finds out her cancer may be back. Devon promises they’ll fight it together as a family and thinks she should tell Cane, but all Cane hears is that something is going on. On Thursday she confides in Traci at the bachelorette, then gets word her results are in and steps outside to read them, looking anything but relieved. Friday is when Cane pushes, and previews say she finally talks.

Phyllis on the Move
Phyllis told Daniel on September 29 that she’s going to make this city hers, and Monday she has the deeds to prove it. On Tuesday Victor answers with a “Bravo” while Cane warns her that Victor will turn on her. On Wednesday she and Sharon corner Nick together, then split over whether he needs rehab, and her surprise for him is a look at the club she now owns. Her softer side is showing too, with a tearful plea to Summer that ends with Summer hanging up. Meanwhile Matt, the man she couldn’t stop defending, comes to alone in the wreck on Tuesday and is standing in her club’s foyer on Wednesday, watching her.

Ashley Campbell debuts as Coco on Thursday and sticks around Friday, with Melissa Ordway’s Abby and Beth Maitland’s Traci on hand both days.
