TL;DR: Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson have three children between them on The Young and the Restless, Nick is suddenly claiming grandpa status, and Christian remains the most forgotten kid in Genoa City.
“Grandpa Nick” Is Concerned About Harrison, Since When?
Let’s reset, Young and the Restless fans. Between Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson, they have three children. With Adam’s brother Nick Newman now proclaiming himself as a grandpa, we must review. What is the soap opera whole hot mess is all of this on Y&R right now?
For real, how many of those pain pills that look like the infamous candy, Smarties, has Nick (Joshua Morrow) consumed? The answer… At least enough for him to declare himself as Harrison’s (Redding Munsell’s) grandpa. What in the what? Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is barely Harrison’s mother, and Nick has NEVER presented himself as Harrison’s grandpa.
Shouldn’t Nick be a bit more concerned about his own son, Christian Newman, who is his brother Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) biological son? If not, maybe he can return Christian to his ACTUAL dad, Adam, and his brother Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Can At Least ONE Dad Care About Christian & Tell Connor??!!
Besides occasionally name-dropping Christian, Nick isn’t involved in this kid’s life at all. Nobody even knows how old this kid is, except for maybe his “sister,” Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), his nanny, who we don’t see and doesn’t have a name, and/or maybe Miguel, as Y&R fans haven’t seen him in years either, but historically has been VERY loyal to the Newman family.
Can Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman’s son, Connor, learn about Christian? Maybe they can be friends like Connor and Chelsea’s biological son with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind). Again, many years ago, Chelsea somehow raped Billy Abbott and became pregnant with Johnny. Billy Boy’s then-wife, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), adopted Johnny, and they have been raising him together along with their daughter, Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri), even since their divorce.
When Family Matters on the Newman Compound on Y&R…
Long story short, family matters only sometimes. Even the Great and Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) only does everything in his power to protect his family when it’s convenient for him. Ergo, the Newman apples do not fall from the tree when it comes to parenting.
Johnny only knows about Chelsea being his bio-mom because of one of her last mental breakdowns. Victoria is actually taking it very well, even with Adam and Chelsea also living on the Newman Compound in Genoa City on Y&R. Victoria doesn’t even have time to be jealous of Chelsea or Connor spending time with Johnny.
So, might there be a day that we see Christian Newman again?… Maybe spending time with his actual brother, Connor, and their non-bio brother Johnny??
