Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Newman Shields Nick Newman From Police as His Story Unravels
Young and the Restless spoilers: Nick Newman lied to police about beating Joe, and Victor is covering for him while Nikki demands answers.
NICK NEWMAN TOLD THE COPS ONE STORY, AND VICTOR IS BACKING IT EVEN THOUGH HE DOESN’T BELIEVE IT
TL;DR: Nick lied to the police about beating his old dealer, and now Joe is missing. Victor turned the cops away at the gate and is vouching for a story he doesn’t buy, and Nikki is next in line with questions.
The Cops Came to the Gate, and Victor Said Nick Wasn’t Home
These Young and the Restless spoilers start with Nick Newman standing outside the ranch on Friday, staring at his bruised knuckles before he walked in. He told his parents he had not used. Minutes later, Victor Newman got a call that the police were at the gate, and he ordered security to tell them Nick wasn’t there.
That was round one. On Monday, Detective Burrow is back at the ranch, and Victor backs up his son’s version of events. The official word for the day is that Victor plays his cards close to the vest to protect Nick, and every move in our two-week Young and the Restless spoilers says the Newman cover-up is only warming up.
It all traces back to Wednesday, when Nick learned Marie had overdosed again and vowed that his old dealer, Joe, was a dead man. By the time he showed up with bloody knuckles and a story nobody fully buys, he had already done something about it.

The Story Nick Told, and the One He Didn’t
Here is Nick Newman’s version. He set up a fake buy as a sting, with the police alerted, and met Joe. Things got heated, he threw a punch, and Joe ran off before the cops arrived. He even claims Joe admitted selling Marie the drugs before she overdosed.
He told his family that story, then repeated it to Burrow at Crimson Lights. He said he couldn’t keep Joe there despite trying “very politely.” Burrow took one look at those knuckles and answered, “I bet.” Then came the flashback that ended Friday’s episode: Nick beating Joe again and again in an alley, then standing over him while he lay unconscious on the ground.
Victor isn’t fooled either. He asked whether Nick had handled the dealer himself, and he was sure there was more to the story. He shielded Nick from the police anyway.

Did Nick Newman kill Joe on Young and the Restless?
Nobody knows, and that is the problem. Joe was out cold the last time Nick saw him, and on Monday Victor tells Adam that his men have searched and found no sign of the man. As we caught in Monday’s Canadian day-ahead, Burrow then asks Victor to confirm Nick’s account, and he does. Victor just put his own name behind a story he doesn’t believe, about a man who has vanished.
Adam Doubts Him, and Nikki Is Coming for the Truth
Adam Newman is playing both sides. On Friday he told Chelsea Lawson he feared his brother would go after the dealer and end up behind bars. When Nick held up those knuckles, Adam’s dry answer was, “Great!” On Monday he tells Victor he is glad Joe isn’t in a ditch somewhere, because he’s worried Nick took it too far. Then Burrow walks in, and Adam calls Joe a lowlife and tells the detective to focus on him instead.
Tuesday belongs to Nikki Newman, because Nikki interrogates Nick. She already rushed in on Friday, frantic that her son was using again. Nick Newman can fool a detective. Fooling his mother is a much harder job.
And Marie Kirkland is still the reason for all of it. The last word on Wednesday had her unconscious in the hospital, with no family to call.

How Far the Newman Cover-Up Can Go
Last month Nick Newman tried to take the blame for Logan Kirkland’s death to protect Marie. Now he is hiding what he did for her. Same woman, opposite lie. If I know these writers, Joe doesn’t stay missing for long.
My gut tells me Nikki is the one who cracks him. Don’t be surprised if Nick tells his mother the truth he would never give Burrow, and if Joe turns up alive and talking, Victor’s statement becomes evidence against them both. Could the man who lied for his son end up needing a lawyer of his own?
Should Nick come clean to the police, or let Victor handle it? Leave your verdict in the comments.

Victor Is Digging Nick a Deeper Hole
We love a Newman closing ranks, but this time Victor is backing the wrong play. Turning cops away at the gate buys Nick a day. Vouching for a story he doesn’t believe, with a man missing, buys them both a much bigger problem.
