JOHN FINNEGAN SAID NO AND LEFT TOWN, AND STEFFY’S STORY HAS A CALENDAR PROBLEM

TL;DR: Finn said no to the surrogacy and left for a conference. Spoiler chatter says he is blindsided when he learns Steffy went ahead anyway. But Finn is a doctor, and the dates on Carter’s story do not match the baby Steffy is really carrying.

Finn Said No, and Steffy Went Ahead Anyway

In the latest Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, Finn is the man with the most to lose, and he isn’t even in town. Finn (John Finnegan) told his wife no to the surrogacy on September 23, then flew off to a medical conference believing the idea was dead. Spoiler chatter says he is blindsided when he learns Steffy Forrester Finnegan went full steam ahead while he was away.

Here is the part that should keep Steffy up at night: Finn is a doctor, and the dates don’t match. Carter Walton told his wife, Daphne Rose Walton, on October 2 that the embryo transfer had finally happened. But Steffy’s home pregnancy test turned positive on September 10, three weeks before that so-called procedure. The baby she believes is Carter’s goes back to one drunken night in August.

Steffy knows it, too. In the same episode where Carter named Steffy as Daphne’s surrogate, she warned him flat out that Finn won’t buy it. Carter brushed her off and said Finn will accept it because of how badly he screwed up in Monaco. Keep an eye on the full two-week Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, because no confirmed preview has put Finn back in town yet.

Nine Days Is Not Enough Time to Make a Baby

Count the days the way a doctor would. Finn said no on September 23, and Carter announced the transfer on October 2. That is nine days. In the real world, frozen eggs have to be thawed and fertilized, and the embryo usually grows in a lab for about five days before anyone schedules a transfer, often after weeks of hormone prep.

Steffy has out-thought this plan for days. On Friday’s episode, she predicted Daphne would ask how the appointment happened so fast and why nobody called her. On Tuesday, Daphne questions why she was left in the dark. But John Finnegan is the one person in this story who reads medical charts for a living.

Then there is the size of the pregnancy itself. A baby conceived in mid-August is roughly two months along by early October, while a transfer done last week would not even show on a home test yet. One scan or one due date, and the story Carter is selling could fall apart in Finn’s hands.

Does Finn Find Out About Steffy and Carter on Bold and the Beautiful?

Not yet, as far as anything confirmed goes. No network preview has scheduled Finn’s return, and the spoiler chatter has him blindsided by the surrogacy, not suspicious about the August night. The fury comes first. The questions could come later.

I would not count on Finn staying fooled. Back in February 2025, after a rigged test had named someone else as Luna Nozawa‘s father, Finn ran her paternity test himself. Twice. Both results said Luna was his daughter. Finn is a man who does not take anyone’s word on a baby, and Carter is betting the whole lie on Finn doing exactly that.

Carter Is Betting Everything on Finn’s Guilt

Carter’s plan rests on one shaky idea: a husband who feels guilty won’t ask questions. The Monaco blowup sent Steffy home with her ring off, and Carter is counting on Finn still feeling the sting. My gut tells me that guilt buys Carter a few days at most.

Picture John Finnegan walking into the cliff house to hear that his wife is carrying a baby for Carter and Daphne after he said no. He is going to be furious, and he has every right. Reading between the lines, though, the real danger comes when he calms down and asks which doctor did the procedure, and when.

We have also wondered whether Finn comes home with a secret of his own from that conference. If he does, Carter finally gets the leverage he wants. If he doesn’t, Finn walks in with nothing to hide and every reason to dig.

Then there is Daphne, who reels from Carter’s news on Monday and is already asking questions by Tuesday. If she ever compares notes with John Finnegan about who knew what and when, the timeline breaks for good. That is the conversation Carter can’t afford.

Carter Can Handle an Angry Husband, Not a Curious Doctor

Carter has an answer for Finn’s temper. He has nothing for Finn’s training. A furious husband yells and storms out, but a doctor goes looking for the paperwork, and so far no doctor or clinic has turned up anywhere in this story.

We say Finn explodes first and starts asking questions second, and the second part is what sinks Carter. Team Angry Husband or Team Doctor Detective? Tell us on our Facebook page.
