TAYLOR HAYES WALKS AWAY FROM DEACON AND HANDS SHEILA THE OPENING SHE WANTED

TL;DR: Spoilers say Taylor Hayes breaks up with Deacon the week of November 9, telling him it may be time she lived her life for herself. Sheila, fresh off Friday’s kiss, makes her plea for a future with him by Friday the 13th.

Taylor Tells Deacon She Wants to Live for Herself

Do Taylor and Deacon break up? The preview for the week of November 9 shows what looks like a breakup. Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) stares at Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and asks, “What exactly are you saying?” Her answer lands like a slammed door: “Maybe it’s time I lived my life for myself.”

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for next week back it up. On Wednesday, November 11, Taylor makes a pivotal decision about her future with Deacon. Nobody has said she is ending it for good, and that little word “maybe” is doing a lot of work. But Deacon hears goodbye, and so does everyone watching.

Here is the part that should terrify him. On Friday, November 6, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) pulled Deacon into a kiss as her only payment for doing his books. He protested, then indulged a little, and Taylor has no idea.

Earlier this week we asked whether Sheila would gloat to Taylor about the kiss. Now Sheila may not need to say a word.

Is Taylor ending it with Deacon, or just stepping back to breathe? Write to me at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and tell me how you read that scene.

Taylor Hayes Already Said No Once

This breakup has been building since August. On August 12 in Monaco, Deacon proposed and Taylor turned him down flat: “Marriage? I just don’t think we need to do this.” He never got over it.

On Friday he admitted to Sheila that Taylor refusing his proposal rubbed him the wrong way, and Sheila pounced. Leaving her, she told him, was the biggest blunder of his life. Taylor, in her words, was a space-filler. You can relive every barb in our recap of Friday’s kiss.

Sheila has been playing this long game since April 9, when she promised Deacon, “This isn’t over for us.” The next night she watched through the blinds as he kissed Taylor. Their divorce went final on July 9, and she has been circling ever since.

Do Taylor and Deacon Break Up on Bold and the Beautiful?

The preview certainly plays it that way, and Wednesday’s decision is real. What nobody has shown is Taylor Hayes learning about the kiss. That is the twist I keep coming back to. Taylor may walk away from Deacon for reasons that have nothing to do with Sheila at all.

Look at her week. On Wednesday Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) told her parents she is pregnant as Carter and Daphne’s egg donor and surrogate, and Taylor pushed back hard: “I want to know what’s really going on.” She kept pushing Steffy to come clean. On Thursday Steffy collapsed at the cliff house right in front of her.

On Friday Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) tore into Carter while Taylor stood in the room. A woman who spends a week holding her family together might decide she wants a life that belongs to her. That isn’t jealousy. That is exhaustion.

She already told Deacon she didn’t need a ring. Now she may be telling him she doesn’t need the rest of it either.

Sheila Makes Her Plea by Friday

And Sheila is right on schedule. Spoilers say she makes a discovery on Thursday, November 12 that could change everything, and on Friday, November 13 she makes an impassioned plea for a future with Deacon. What she finds out is anybody’s guess. Could it be that Taylor already let him go?

If Taylor Hayes walks before Deacon confesses, he may never confess at all. He gets to play the wounded boyfriend, and Sheila gets him without lifting a finger past one stolen kiss. My gut tells me Deacon is on Sheila’s doorstep by Friday, and Taylor finds out about that kiss at the worst possible moment.

Is Taylor right to choose herself, or is she handing Deacon to Sheila? Tell us in the comments.

Sheila Could Win Deacon Without a Fight

Sheila spent months plotting to pry these two apart, and she may win on a forfeit. That would be the most Sheila outcome of all: the woman who schemes for everything getting handed the prize because Taylor finally put herself first. Deacon will tell himself he got dumped. He will leave out the part where he let his ex-wife kiss him just days earlier.

So is Taylor brave for choosing herself, or is she walking right into Sheila’s trap? Pick your side and come fight about it on our Facebook page.
