THESE DAYS WEEKLY SPOILERS PUSH SALEM’S SECRETS INTO THE LIGHT
TL;DR: These DAYS Weekly Spoilers follow Sarah fighting to save Xander, Brady reeling from heartbreaking news, Marlena agonizing over a call to Dominic, and Chad standing up to EJ across Days of Our Lives.

This Week in Salem
This week in Salem starts with a hospital full of worry and ends with a Halloween that comes with its own set of tricks. A family is asked to hold together through a frightening stretch, an old confession is handed to an unlikely listener, and a mystery man’s name keeps turning up where it is least welcome. Salem has always had a gift for patience running out at precisely the wrong moment.
Elsewhere, a celebration gets thrown for someone who earned it, a scheming houseguest keeps making plans, and a father and son stand across from each other with plenty left to say. Nobody in this town gets a quiet week, and the ones who ask for one should know better. Bring snacks and a strong stomach, because Salem is not holding anything back.

Monday, October 26th
Sarah Horton throws her training, her nerve and her stubbornness at the fight to keep Xander Kiriakis breathing. The lab cliffhanger left chaos in its wake, and the fallout lands on the one person in town who understands exactly what is at stake. Everyone who loves her can only hold their breath.
Brady Black takes a blow he had no way to see coming, and the details stay locked up until the episode airs. After days spent keeping watch beside a hospital bed, he has already given Salem more than his share of worry. It is a hard thing to watch happen to a good man.
Leo Stark and Javi Hernandez are still catching their breath after the kiss at Small Bar, and this week brings a tender, quiet scene that nudges them toward each other. Two men who spent a long evening insisting they were only friends have officially run out of excuses. Salem is finally getting the sweet storyline it ordered.
Shawn Brady corners EJ DiMera and demands answers, which is a bold plan against a man who can talk circles around a roundabout. Forged hospital records, a missing laptop and one very convenient escape plan mean the questions are piling up faster than the denials. EJ will say he is shocked, appalled and entirely innocent, as usual.
Sydney DiMera turns to Marlena Evans for guidance. After weeks of odd coincidences, a new fiance in the family and a mystery billionaire popping up in the background, she has earned the right to ask for a second opinion from someone with a clear head. Her family tree is starting to need a legend.
Tuesday, October 27th
Philip Kiriakis hits a rough patch, and Gabi DiMera is right there at his side. For a recovering gambler, bad days carry extra risk, which makes a steady partner worth more than any lucky streak. These two fought hard to get here, so she is not about to leave him facing this alone.
Maggie Kiriakis decides to forgive Xander Kiriakis, and it is a gesture that carries real weight in a family that has had a brutal month. Grudges in the Kiriakis household are usually kept in the family vault, so letting one go deserves a moment of respect.
The helpline lights up with a call Mason Whitfield and Holly Jonas did not see coming. Mason takes the work seriously for personal reasons, and Holly is learning at his side, so whoever is on the line is in careful, capable hands.
Marlena Evans agonizes over placing a call to Dominic Marino. She has seen his face exactly once, on a phone screen, and a disputed birth certificate has turned that glimpse into the biggest question of her year. Dialing the number is easy, but living with whatever follows is another matter.
Kristen DiMera unloads on Lani Price, and the conversation is nothing like small talk. Choosing a woman about to pin the badge back on as your confessor is either very brave or very foolish, and Kristen has never been shy about confusing the two.

Wednesday, October 28th
Johnny DiMera squares up to EJ DiMera with the road ahead anything but clear. He talked to the cops, he fired George, and he has promised Chanel he is working toward leaving DiMera once the mess is cleaned up. Taking on your own father is a plan that looks tidier on paper than it does across the desk.
Steve Johnson gives Cat Greene a stern talking-to. He knows she is still working for the ISA, he knows who she is cozying up to at the mansion, and he is not about to let a good agent get lost in EJ’s orbit. Cat has spent the last few weeks hearing everyone’s opinion of her choices, and this one comes from a man who actually has her back.
Alex Kiriakis brings surprising news to Stephanie Johnson, someone who has doubted the houseguest for days and read up on how to fake paralysis, so whatever Alex has to say, she will be holding on to every word. The next conversation under their roof should be a doozy.
Tate Black and Joy Wesley line up some time together. Tate is the guy who watched her throw a children’s book at a door with Olympic-level force, so he knows more than she wants him to. Plans between a schemer and a witness are never as cozy as they sound.
Gwen Rizczech reviews her romantic prospects and does not love the numbers. Her latest proposition, a game of strip poker, ended with a polite no thank you, so the list of prospects looks pretty slim. Give her a few days and a mimosa, and she will find a fresh target.

Cheerful word reaches Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree when they have more than earned it. Chanel came through her lumpectomy last week, and the surgery went well, so any brightening of the forecast is welcome. After a long stretch of fear and waiting, this family deserves a moment of relief.
Lani Price gets a proper party to mark her comeback at the station. She fought hard for her pardon, was offered her job back, and is partnering up with Shawn Brady again, so a party is the least anyone owes her. Her husband Eli Grant has been in her corner all along.
Sarah Horton and Brady Black finally sit down and say the things neither has had room to say. They have spent weeks trading urgent updates in hospital hallways, and that is not the same as a real talk. Expect plenty of feeling and not a lot of small talk.
Jada Hunter sits Xander Kiriakis down in the interview room. With evidence piling up around a patient’s file and a lab that turned into a crime scene, she wants answers, and she is not known for letting a suspect charm his way out of a room.

Friday, October 30th
Sarah Horton and Xander Kiriakis find each other again, and the moment has been building for ages. After all the two have survived together and apart, the scene is as tender as it is overdue.
Julie Williams shows Foster the door. Salem’s grande dame has never needed a man to tell her what she is worth, so she says goodbye with her head held high and her dignity firmly intact.
Kristen DiMera runs smack into a mistake she never made peace with. Her record with unresolved business is that it returns with interest, so the smart money says nothing about this goes smoothly.
Thomas DiMera trick-or-treats alongside his father, yet misgivings about Cat tag along through the candy and costumes. A kid with a suspicious mind and a bag of treats is a dangerous combination, and Cat should be paying attention.
Chad DiMera stands his ground when EJ DiMera tries to bully him. Chad has already stormed in to shout at EJ about the family’s mess, and this time he refuses to back down. Watching the DiMera who gets leaned on do the leaning back is a satisfying turn.
Which storyline blows up first, the Joy situation or the DiMera standoff? Tell us in the comments.
Halloween Arrives and Salem Has No Place Left to Hide
By Friday, a hospital vigil, a very public showdown and a pile of suspicions are all on a collision course. Does Marlena make the call she has been dreading, or does fear win? Does Kristen’s confession buy her some peace, or does it come back to bite her? And is Chad’s stand against EJ the start of something bigger, or will his brother find a way to bring him to heel?
Tell us on our Facebook page: should Marlena call Dominic, or leave well enough alone?
What did you think?
