DANTE GREEN IS HEADED TO FAIRMONT CREST, AND ONLY BARBARA’S LETTER HAS EVER ACCUSED HIM

TL;DR: Head writer Michele Val Jean says viewers will be meeting Dante Green, the Articulettes manager who pushed Barbara out of the group. The only account of what he did comes from Barbara’s suicide letter, and the show has always put the guilt on Anita. Leslie’s father is still a mystery.

Michele Val Jean Says the Articulettes’ Manager Is Coming

The newest Beyond the Gates spoilers come straight from the top. Head writer Michele Val Jean says the Articulettes’ story “is going to lead back to” their old manager, Dante Green, and that viewers will be meeting him. He is the man Barbara Mitchell blamed in her suicide letter. The two women with the most riding on his arrival are Anita Dupree and Leslie Thomas.

Don’t mark your calendar yet. “It’s not imminent because we write really far in advance,” Val Jean warned. The show is already written into April of next year, Season 3 kicks off December 29, and nobody has been cast in the role. Reading between the lines, Dante is a 2027 problem.

The timing could not be worse for Leslie. She already has the whole town side eyeing her ever since she bailed out the woman charged with poisoning Bill, and Anita has been warning her about the company she keeps. Now the ghost of her mother’s career is about to walk through the gates.

Barbara’s Letter Is the Only Witness Against Dante Green

Here is what actually aired. On June 3, 2025, Anita recited from memory a letter she had kept hidden in her desk. In it, Barbara wrote that Dante told her that her voice was too classless and ghetto for the group. She wrote that she had left this world, and she ended with five words aimed straight at Anita: “And that is on you.”

The next day, Anita told Vernon Dupree everything. Barbara started the group, and the girls were “sisters forever” until they met Dante. When he decided Barbara didn’t fit the polished image he wanted, Anita let him push her out, because he looked like her only shot at stardom. “I killed her,” Anita told her husband.

That is the part everyone skips. Every write-up this week treats “classless and ghetto” as Dante’s own verdict, but no scene has ever shown him saying it. The only account comes from a heartbroken woman’s goodbye note, and the show has always laid the heaviest guilt at Anita’s feet.

Is Dante Green Leslie Thomas’s Father on Beyond the Gates?

Nobody knows, and that includes Leslie. When Peaches told her on August 15, 2025 that Barbara was her birth mother, she said Barbara never named the father. By the next day, fans online were already pointing at Dante. That chatter has only gotten louder in the 14 months since, and the show has never confirmed it or ruled it out.

Here is why it won’t die. Val Jean says the Articulettes’ path leads straight back to Dante, and nobody knows more about why Barbara was cut loose than the man who cut her. If I know these writers, a paternity bombshell is sitting right there for the taking. Until the show says so, though, Leslie’s father is a blank space on the family tree.

Leslie Thomas Already Has a Score to Settle With Dante Green

On September 10, Anita played Leslie and Eva Thomas a tape of Barbara singing to Anita on her 17th birthday. Leslie didn’t hold back. She called Dante a fool for edging her mother out. Vernon reminded Anita that she, Tracy and Sharon were only teenagers back then and couldn’t have stood up to him.

Leslie’s anger cuts both ways, though. Two days earlier, she had told Anita and Vernon that because of them, she grew up without a mother. And she holds real power now. As Barbara’s heir, Leslie controls the use of her mother’s voice on the Articulettes’ revival album, which is how she squeezed a producer credit out of Anita. Eva, who has covered for her mother before, knows exactly what Leslie does with leverage.

Don’t Expect Dante Green to Get a Warm Welcome

Val Jean also says Anita’s music career moves forward but hits “unexpected obstacles” that will test how badly she wants it. Don’t be surprised if the biggest obstacle turns out to be the manager who split the Articulettes in the first place.

My gut tells me Barbara’s letter isn’t the whole story. Dante gets to tell his side for the first time, and Anita has spent years believing hers. If his version clears him, she loses her villain. If it doesn’t, Leslie finally gets someone besides the Duprees to blame.

Barbara’s Letter Put Anita on Trial, and Dante Is Next

For more than a year, Anita has been the only one paying for what happened to Barbara. Dante’s arrival finally puts the other name in that letter on the stand.

We say Dante earned every bit of the side eye coming his way, but Anita doesn’t get a pass just because he showed up. Team Barbara wants him to answer for it. Team Anita says a teenager can’t be blamed for a grown man’s cruelty. Pick your side on our Facebook page.
