ANITA DUPREE TAKES AN EXCITING CAREER STEP AS THE ARTICULETTES REUNITE OCTOBER 28

TL;DR: Anita lines up an exciting career step on October 27 and shares big news with fellow Articulettes Tracy and Sharon on October 28. Nobody has said what it is, so here are the likeliest moves and the old wounds riding on their reaction.

An Exciting Step, and Not One Word on What It Is

Anita’s big news on Beyond the Gates lands Wednesday, October 28, and the first people to hear it are not her husband or her family. Anita Dupree breaks it to her old Articulettes bandmates, Tracy Tyler and Sharon Winger, who both come back for the announcement. The day before, she prepares to take “an exciting step in her career.”

That is every word the Beyond the Gates spoilers for October 26 to 30 will give up. The same Tuesday, Anita and Vernon Dupree grow more worried about the marriage of their daughter Dani Dupree. One preview ties that worry to Dani’s knack for landing back in her ex-husband Bill’s life, days after Kalista’s bombshell wrecked Dani’s TV special.

So why tell Tracy and Sharon first? If this is about music, it is about them. And the last time Anita put her career ahead of the group, it cost them a sister, and Anita has blamed herself ever since.

The Wound Under the Harmony

Tamara Tunie has said Anita “pretty much abandoned” Tracy and Sharon when she chased a solo career, and the backstory is uglier than a breakup. In June 2025, Anita confessed that the group’s manager, a man viewers have still never seen, cast aside founding member Barbara Mitchell. Anita let it happen to protect her own shot at stardom. Barbara later took her own life, her letter ended “And that is on you,” and Anita told Vernon, “I killed her.”

Sharon never forgot. In June 2025 she accused Anita of working with that manager against her, and both she and Tracy had been pushed into signing nondisclosure agreements. The three fought right up to their reunion concert, which aired August 1 and 4, 2025. Sharon battled a panic attack, Anita belted her solo to a standing ovation and told the crowd about Barbara, and Sharon told Anita she was forgiven.

Here is the detail everybody forgets. At that same concert, a talent agent pitched Anita a solo tour. She turned it down, and the talk turned to sending Tracy and Sharon on the road instead.

Anita Dupree and Leslie Thomas on Beyond the Gates

What Is Anita’s Big News on Beyond the Gates?

Nobody outside the writers’ room knows yet, so treat this as our best guess, ranked. Our money is on the Articulettes album. In August, a year after the reunion, Anita Dupree set out to re-record the group’s classics with Tracy and Sharon and fold in Barbara’s archived vocals. Devon Winters, the Genoa City recording mogul, was producing.

Then it stalled. Tracy and Sharon found the contract needed permission from Barbara’s daughter, Leslie Thomas, to use her voice. Anita gave Leslie a producer credit on the condition she sit quietly, and on September 16 Leslie rescheduled the session behind everyone’s back. She said she wanted Eva Thomas to be proud of her grandmother “being on the album.” If that record is finally moving, Tracy and Sharon have to hear it first.

Second guess: a reunion tour, the idea Sharon liked back at the concert. Third: a solo deal, the one move that would rip open every old wound. The long shot is a residency. At Dani’s TV special on October 22, Anita finally met Jackie Tyree, the impersonator who officiated Dani’s Vegas wedding, and Jackie bragged about her sold-out Saturday night shows. If the copy can fill a room, why not the original?

Why Wednesday Could Sting

The timing is the twist. That same Wednesday, Leslie’s offer to throw Eva a party stirs up painful memories, and Barbara is the most painful memory that family has. If I know these writers, Anita Dupree gets her big moment on the very day Barbara’s daughter is hurting most, and Leslie still holds the key to Barbara’s voice.

Then there is the house. Anita is chasing her dream while Dani’s marriage wobbles, and on Thursday Vernon has a big event with Martin and Smitty. On Friday, October 30, Tamara Tunie presents at the Daytime Emmys, where she is up for Outstanding Lead Actress. Fairmont Crest and Hollywood both have Anita on a stage this week.

Anita’s Big News Only Works If Tracy and Sharon Are In It

We say it is the album, and we say Tracy and Sharon cheer. Anita Dupree learned the hard way what going it alone costs, and she has spent more than a year making it right.

Team Album says the Articulettes are back on record. Team Solo says Anita is about to break their hearts all over again. Pick your side on our Facebook page.
