BREAKING SOAP NEWS: Daytime Emmys Nominees Reveal Date Is Set and Fans Better Be Ready
Trophy season has entered the chat. B&B, DAYS, GH, Y&R, and BTG are all holding their breath for Daytime Emmy nominations.

DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS ANNOUNCE WHEN NOMINATIONS DROP
TL;DR: The Daytime Emmy Awards are about to make daytime television very loud. Nominees for the 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be revealed on Tuesday, July 14, with The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and newcomer Beyond the Gates all in the running. This year brings new eligibility rules and one franchise-level first.
A Date Is Finally on the Calendar
The Daytime Emmy Awards are gearing up for their biggest moment of the year, and now fans know exactly when to set their alarms. Nominees will be revealed on Tuesday, July 14, courtesy of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the honors. That means the countdown is officially on for every soap fan wondering whether their favorite performances from all of 2025 will get their flowers.
The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and newcomer Beyond the Gates are all in the running, with every nomination reflecting work from the full 2025 calendar year. That means this is essentially a victory lap for an entire year of storytelling, scandal, and scene-stealing performances across all five canvases.

Beyond the Gates Gets Its First Real Shot
Here is the part that makes this year genuinely historic. This marks the first time daytime’s newest series, Beyond the Gates, is fully eligible across every major category, including outstanding drama series, writing, directing, and every performance category from lead to supporting to emerging talent. For a show that only found its footing recently, that is a massive milestone, and it puts Fairmont Crest squarely in the awards conversation alongside soaps that have been racking up nominations for decades.
Guest Performers Face a New Cap
The Guest Performer in a Daytime Drama Series category now caps eligibility at 19% of episodes aired or streamed during the qualifying period. Performers who show up more often than that will need to compete in Leading, Supporting, or Emerging Talent categories instead, no exceptions.
Writing and Directing Go Team-Based
The Drama Writing and Drama Directing categories are also shifting to a team-based structure, with eligibility tied to that same 19% threshold. If an episode submitted in either category was written or directed by someone who does not hit that mark, a waiver has to be filed. Translation: the categories are getting a little more competitive and a lot more precise this year.
As for the ceremony itself, mark your calendars twice. The Daytime Emmy Awards will hand out trophies on Friday, October 30, 2026, in Hollywood, California. A venue has not been formally announced, and it is still unclear whether the show will land on a television network or stream again the way last year’s ceremony did.
