The published spoiler line for Thursday said only that Ari overhears a troubling conversation, so the identity of the speakers is new information, and the June scene that gave her somewhere to take it has gone almost entirely unmentioned.

Kate Roberts Is Not Doing Ari a Kindness
Reading between the lines, Kate did not spend June planting a listener at DiMera so she could ask about lunch plans. My gut says the favor is a collection, not a courtesy, and that Ari says yes because she has no reason yet to say anything else.
