The Days of Our Lives recap October 22, 2026 ended with Steve Johnson on the ground. He had spent the whole night watching George O’Halloran‘s house, and his patience paid off when EJ DiMera walked through the front door.

Inside, EJ wanted one thing: the laptop. George told him it is hidden in the lab, and that he cloned his key card so he can get it out of DiMera tonight. EJ offered him money and a new identity and told him to leave Salem the second he has it.

Steve saw George carry packed bags outside and called Johnny DiMera. George will not leave town without that laptop, Steve said, so he would follow him to the lab. He never finished the call. Someone tased Steve before he could say another word, and the episode did not show who.

Paulina Price got emotional telling her daughter how proud she is. In the waiting room, Johnny told Theo Carver he has told the police about the Coriseal scheme and vowed to make things right. Then Kayla Johnson came out with the news everyone wanted. The surgery is over, Chanel is in recovery, and all looked good, though she still needs hormone treatment and monitoring.

Abe Carver pulled Kayla aside with something he has not told anyone. He has been more forgetful, his hands shake, and his handwriting has turned messy. He is worried his symptoms look like Lexie Carver‘s, and he is afraid of how Theo will take it. He asked Kayla to keep it private while she runs tests.

When Paulina asked about his health, Abe said he is fine. She invited him and Theo to the Bistro to celebrate Chanel, and Theo begged off and suggested the two of them go together.

Theo Invites EJ to Lexie’s Memorial

Theo told EJ about Lexie’s memorial and invited him, saying EJ gave him time with his mother that he will always be grateful for. He also asked EJ to behave himself if he comes. EJ took offense, reminding Theo that he loved his sister and was the one who brought her back. It was a kind invitation with a warning stapled to it.

Javi Hernandez and Leo Stark both showed up early at Small Bar, agreed to see where things go as friends, and talked Housewives and how they met. Javi worried Leo is putting himself at risk digging into the counterfeit purses. Then he dropped the line he had clearly been rehearsing: he can’t just be friends with Leo. Leo panicked that he had come on too needy, until Javi made clear he wants more.
