TL;DR: EJ DiMera just packed Gwen Rizczech’s suitcase and dumped her at the Salem Inn because he was tired of stumbling upon a half-naked Xander Kiriakis in his living room on Days of Our Lives. But he forgot something. Gwen knows about the pod, she knows about Lexie, and she has every reason to light the DiMera mansion on fire from a Salem Inn bar stool.

The Suitcase Heard Round the DiMera Mansion

Gwen Rizczech has been EJ’s problem child, his partner in crime, and his occasional accomplice for months now. She has cleaned up his messes. She has kept his secrets. She has sat at that dining room table and listened to him pretend he runs Salem while she holds pieces of his life that could absolutely incinerate him. And on Tuesday, EJ DiMera stormed into the living room, found Xander Cook Kiriakis lounging around half naked beside Gwen, and lost his entire mind.

So he packed her bag. He threw her out of the mansion. He shipped her off to the Salem Inn like she was a bad idea he could just check out of at the front desk.

Let us review what Gwen Rizczech knows sitting in that Salem Inn room right now.

She knows Lexie Carver was locked inside a pod in the DiMera mansion. She knows Wilhelm Rolf is resurrecting the dead on the family payroll. She knows EJ DiMera is using the lab for political leverage.

She knows the kind of things that could land EJ in a prison cell.

And the man standing between her and going public? He’s the one who just humiliated her. He had one job. Keep her close. Keep her quiet. He blew all of that with one rogue decision.

Chad Is About to Ask the Exact Right Question

Today, Chad DiMera sat down with Gwen and start asking questions. Chad, who has been out of the mansion, who is walking back into Salem with fresh eyes and absolutely no patience left for his brother. Chad asked what has been happening. And Gwen, freshly evicted, freshly humiliated, and drinking a very stiff drink at the Salem Inn bar, decided exactly how much to say.

That conversation could end with Gwen keeping her mouth shut out of some residual loyalty she does not actually feel anymore. Or it could end with her handing Chad a roadmap to everything EJ has been hiding from everyone who shares his last name.

Spoilers say EJ was blindsided. They do not say by what or whom but we have guesses and we think things will continue to snowball and cause EJ a huge amount of stress he never saw coming. Because he wasn’t paying attention.

The Truly Diabolical Option

Here is the part that keeps Days of Our Lives fans up at night.

Gwen does not have to go to Chad to tell all. She could go to someone far more dangerous. Kristen DiMera is already plotting to destroy EJ. Kristen is already slapping him across the face on Friday. Kristen is already working with Sophia Choi to kill EJ’s son. And Kristen has always had a soft spot for women EJ has underestimated.

If Gwen walks into Kristen’s orbit carrying everything she knows about the pod, the lab, and the way EJ operates behind closed doors, Kristen is going to greet her with open arms, a strong drink, and a full strategy session. The two of them could turn Gwen Rizczech’s eviction into the opening scene of EJ’s complete professional and personal collapse.

EJ thinks he got rid of a problem. In actuality, he just lit fire to a compost heap in the middle of the Square.

And Xander? Xander is going to spend the rest of this storyline watching Gwen work from the corner of whatever bar she lands in next, because she has never needed him for the hard part. She just needed someone to lounge around the mansion long enough to get thrown out. Now she has time, motive, and a very long memory.

The Salem Inn has seen a lot of comebacks. This one is going to be an absolute massacre.
