Lexie Is Not Awake but Her Body Knows Theo

Lexie Carver is not awake. Not really.

She and Theo Carver had a conversation inside a dream once, and her son walked away heartbroken because he thought she’d really woken up. That seems like ages ago. Since then, Wilhelm Rolf has monitored her. And today, he called EJ with more bad news than good. Yes, she’s showing involuntary movement. But her brain is showing no signs of resurrection. So will Lexie really come back to join her loved ones? We don’t know.

Theo touched her hand a couple day ago. He cried next to the bed. And her arm absolutely moved toward him.

Theo was thrilled! He rushed to EJ to deliver the news. But when Dr. Rolf examined his patient thoroughly, he saw no sign of brain activity. That is not waking up. That is a body that recognized a person next to her even when her mind was still in limbo.

Abe Still Does Not Know His Wife Is Breathing

Spoilers have been quietly suggesting for weeks that Abe Carver and Theo are going to lose Lexie Carver all over again. She does not have to die again entirely for that to happen. A body that moves toward her son without ever coming home is the cruelest loss Salem has ever served up.

Abe is the hardest part of this storyline. He does not know. EJ DiMera ordered Theo to keep the secret, and Theo has been showing up alone at that pod every day while his father continues to visit a gravestone.

Every conversation Abe has had this week has happened in a universe where his wife is still on the other side. And with Paulina Price cracking from what she knows and Marlena Evans now quietly in the loop, the clock on that secret is running down.

The Phone Call That Rearranged EJ’s Face

Here is where the story tips sideways.

EJ DiMera got a phone call today that shocked him entirely. Somebody filed a codicil to Stefano DiMera’s will. The reading that has been looming over the DiMera family for months is about to happen. Cat Greene is handling al the details and EJ has felt absolutely comfortable/ He wrote the will. He knows every detail. He is sure he will end up on top. Unless he’s about to have the proverbial carpet pulled out from under him.

Who Actually Filed the Codicil

So who filed? Two candidates are worth considering.

Option one is Theo Carver filing on behalf of his mother. Theo has known Lexie Carver is alive for weeks. Theo has the paperwork, the motive, and the lawyer on retainer to get it filed before Abe is ever told. Marlena suggested that EJ manipulated him into resigning as the person in charge of DiMera so Johnny could remain there. His own son. He’s been thinking of this ever since.

Option two tips the board.

We think Stefan DiMera is absolutely alive. Never dead. Consider that the codicil has his signature on it, claiming his rightful share of the estate and naming himself executor of everything EJ has been quietly looting. Stefan has been gone long enough for Salem to stop checking over its shoulder. He is exactly the kind of ghost a DiMera storyline loves to produce at the worst possible moment. Or the best. You decide.

EJ’s Phoenix Ring May Prove To Be More Curse Than Blessing

EJ thinks he survived this week. He has no idea what is coming next week. Will Lexie really return to walk on the Square once more? Or will we find out that the experiment he and Dr. Rolf have been counting on is missing some key components and that he won’t make the fortune he’s been dreaming about?

The Phoenix ring on his finger might look the same on Monday. The meaning of it may change dramatically within days.
