SARAH HORTON FINALLY SLEPT WITH BRADY AND SALEM WENT FULL HONEYMOON MODE

TL;DR: Sarah Horton and Brady Black finally hit the sheets, Xander and Gwen celebrated with each other in every sense of the word, and Philip and Gabi are playing house at the Kiriakis mansion on Days of Our Lives. Everybody in Salem is in love right now. Which means somebody is about to get their heart ripped out.

Make Love Not War, They Said

Sarah Horton and Brady Black finally did it. After weeks of sneaking glances, stolen kisses, and tiptoeing around Xander’s feelings, these two took their relationship to the next level on Friday’s episode of Days of Our Lives. And we are genuinely happy for them. We are also genuinely terrified for them because this is Salem and nobody gets to be happy for more than one commercial break.

But Sarah and Brady were not the only ones heating up Salem. Xander Kiriakis was across town celebrating with Gwen Rizczech, who just got the news that Dimitri is finally letting her move forward with divorce paperwork. The celebrating turned physical because of course it did. Xander could not even be bothered to stick around afterward for the crudités, the paté, and the champagne. Then again, Gwen seemed perfectly content to enjoy her own picnic basket solo.

And somewhere in the Kiriakis mansion, Philip Kiriakis and Gabi DiMera were busy pretending that moving into a mansion together is a normal step in a relationship held together with duct tape and denial.

Three couples. One Friday. Everybody in Salem decided that today was the day. And if you have watched this show for more than fifteen minutes, you know exactly what that means.

Where This Gets Complicated for Xander

Here is the thing about Sarah Horton finally sleeping with Brady. It is not just a romantic milestone. It is a declaration of war aimed directly at Xander, whether Sarah intended it that way or not. Xander has been circling her for months, unable to accept that the woman he still loves has chosen the man he fired out of pure jealousy. He assumed they were already sleeping together. Sarah denied it. Now the denial is officially over and Xander is going to find out, because this is Salem and secrets have the lifespan of a fruit fly.

Xander’s response is going to be volcanic. The man has been hooking up with Gwen as a distraction, not as a relationship. The moment he finds out Sarah and Brady are actually together, every casual champagne toast with Gwen is going to feel like a consolation prize. And Xander does not do consolation prizes. He does revenge. Coupled with things that make Maggie pour herself a stiff drink and question every parenting decision she ever made.

The Couple Nobody Is Talking About

Philip and Gabi are the sleeper bomb in all of this. These two moved into the Kiriakis mansion together like that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do when your relationship is built on a secret that could destroy both of your lives. Gabi played a role in the Titan and DiMera merger falling apart. Philip does not know yet. When he finds out, and he will find out because this is Salem, that mansion is going to feel a lot less romantic and a lot more like a crime scene.

We have been watching this couple build something that looks sweet on the outside, but underneath it is a foundation made entirely of things Gabi has not told Philip.

The Uncomfortable Math

Sarah Horton is happy. Brady is happy. Gwen is happy. Philip and Gabi are happy. That is too many happy people in Salem at once. Somebody is going to lose everything and the only question is who goes first.

Our money is on Philip and Gabi, because a relationship built on a secret about Titan is a ticking clock. But do not count out Sarah Horton and Brady either, because Xander with a broken heart and access to corporate resources is the most dangerous man in Salem. And Gwen, currently celebrating solo with champagne and divorce papers, has her own history of revenge schemes that nobody should be sleeping on.

Make love not war, Salem said on Friday. We heard them. And we give it about two weeks before the war begins.
