General Hospital
GH’s Anna Devane Has a Kill Order That’s All in Her Head…and Britt Westbourne Is the Target
General Hospital: Anna Devane’s mind conjures a vision of Peter August ordering her to kill Britt Westbourne, and Jason has no clue.

ANNA DEVANE LET JASON WALK OUT THE DOOR BELIEVING SHE WAS FINE
Anna Devane told Jason Morgan she would try to trust his read on Britt Westbourne, and the second he left, a vision of Peter August showed up demanding she kill her instead. Was that goodbye the last calm moment before everything falls apart?
A Reunion Built on an Old Lie
Jason Morgan sat with Anna Devane and let her talk through the hoax that nearly broke her: Jenz Sidwell and Ross Cullum convinced her Cesar Faison was alive, using details only someone who actually knew him could have supplied. Anna Devane still cannot shake the idea that whoever fed them that information shares Faison’s blood, and she said as much to Jason without hesitation. It is the kind of doubt that does not fade simply because the immediate danger has passed.
Jason admitted he never met Cassius, but he defended Britt Westbourne anyway, insisting she was a victim and not a co-conspirator. Anna said she would try to take his word for it and move forward with her life. Then Jason left the room, believing he had actually gotten through to her, and Anna let him believe it. She did not correct him, and she did not stop him from leaving.

The Ghost Who Never Actually Left
The moment Jason was gone, a vision of Peter August appeared to Anna and went straight for the throat. He sneered that Cassius and Britt caused everything she recently survived, and since Cassius is dead, Britt is the only one left to answer for it. His solution was not subtle: kill her.
This is not the real Peter walking around Port Charles, and that distinction matters more than it sounds like it should. It is Anna’s own mind conjuring him, which is somehow worse than the alternative. A trauma response that borrows a dead man’s voice to demand violence does not stay contained to one quiet hospital scene, no matter how calm Anna Devane looked minutes earlier, and no matter how much progress that conversation with Jason seemed to make.
Jason Left at Exactly the Wrong Moment
Here is the part that should worry everyone: Jason has no idea any of this happened. He walked out convinced Anna was choosing to trust his read on Britt, not realizing her mind had already started building a case for murder the second the door closed behind him. That gap between what Jason believes and what Anna is actually carrying is not going to stay small for long.
Nobody around Anna Devane knows to watch her right now, which means whatever she does next will look, to everyone else, like it came from nowhere. It will not have come from nowhere. It will have come out of a hospital room conversation Jason walked away from feeling relieved, and out of years of a family history with the Faison name that never actually stopped haunting her.
The Hero and the Villain Might Be the Same Man
If Anna moves on Britt, Jason becomes the only person positioned to stop her in time, and that puts him in an ugly spot. He will have to treat the woman he recently reconnected with as the threat instead of the survivor, and he will have to do it fast enough to save the woman he loves without destroying whatever trust he rebuilt with Anna only an hour earlier. There is no version of that confrontation where Jason walks away looking like the good guy to everyone involved.

Anna Devane walked away from Jason thinking she had made peace with Britt’s innocence, but the version of Peter living in her head clearly did not get that memo. Head over to our Facebook page and tell us whether you think Jason gets there in time.
