Is Jude a hunk or a hunter? On General Hospital, Britt Westbourne walked away from a no-names night grinning, but Jude has figured out where she works, extended his stay and kept a pistol in his nightstand.

Jude Made A No-Names Deal And Is Already Bending It

Jude agreed to one night with no names, which makes him the last man who should be doing homework. Over breakfast at the Metro Court, he tried a little small talk about what Britt Westbourne does at the hospital, having pieced it together from what he saw at the Brown Dog before she cleared the room. Britt reminded him of the deal and said good-bye. She grinned all the way down the hallway, sure she would never see him again.

Jude, meanwhile, called the front desk about extending his stay in Port Charles. Then he opened the nightstand drawer for his watch, and there it sat beside a pistol. A man who wanted one anonymous night doesn’t usually need more time in town. A gun in the drawer doesn’t scream hunk and it doesn’t scream hunter, but it sure screams something. Maybe it’s protection, maybe it’s habit, and maybe it’s the reason he’s here.

Britt Westbourne also happened to meet him at a very tender moment. She walked into that hotel suite after a staff mixer where she’d treated her colleagues badly, with talk of HR complaints already swirling. Along came a stranger who told her she doesn’t have to change a thing, and she floated out of that suite beaming. Could that be a man finding the one door nobody was guarding?

Britt Went Public With Donuts And Left A Trail

Wednesday brought a brand-new Britt. She arrived at G.H. with donuts from Eckert’s Bakery, apologized to her flabbergasted colleagues, and sat down with Stella Henry for a performance review. Britt sincerely admitted she could treat the staff better and asked Stella for help. Stella sputtered afterward that aliens must have abducted her.

Then Britt scampered off to hand out more donuts, which makes her cheerful, visible and easy to find in the one building where Jude knows she works. That’s a bright trail for anybody who wants to follow it. Is that the glow of the best night of her life, or the work of someone who knows how to make a lonely woman feel seen? Thursday has her dishing juicy gossip to Lucas Jones, and a woman who is spilling everything is a woman who is easy to read.

Hunk Or Hunter? Both Files Are Open

The hunk file is real. Jude warned her up front that he gets bored easily and has a talent for making people feel neglected, and honesty like that is rare in a man with an agenda. He kept the deal, he was kind, and he told her she was fine exactly as she is. If that’s the whole story, Britt Westbourne got the best deal of her life.

The hunter file is thicker. He worked out where she works, he’s staying longer, and he keeps a pistol next to his watch. Is a bored man really staying in town for a woman he promised not to see again? Might the warning be the most calculated line of the whole night, a confession that sounds like charm?
