JOSSLYN JACKS IS SPENDING HER FATHER’S EMPIRE ON A WAR JAX NEVER SIGNED UP FOR

TL;DR: Josslyn Jacks plans to use Jax’s company to bankrupt Sonny. Jax never approved it, the man who said yes wants her gone, and Thursday Carly stands by Sonny.

Josslyn Turns JJE Into a Weapon

These General Hospital spoilers for Josslyn Jacks start with a declaration of war. On Tuesday, October 6, Joss sat down with Hudson at the Metro Court Gardens and said she will use Jasper Jacks Enterprises to “bankrupt and destroy Sonny Corinthos.” The company isn’t hers. It belongs to her father, Jasper Jacks, and Jax never agreed to fight this war.

Hudson’s first answer was the right one. Jax wouldn’t want that, he warned, and JJE isn’t a tool for a personal vendetta. Joss shot back that her father and Sonny Corinthos have been feuding since before she was born, so of course Daddy would approve. Then she laid out her plan, and Hudson flipped. He called it smart because it would “diversify the company,” with one catch: she has to justify it to Jax.

She had already been told no once. On Monday, William Baines refused to put her on Sonny, told her to follow orders or resign, and handed her an audit of JJE’s Far East deals. She nodded, walked out and asked Hudson for a plan to demolish Sonny, the move we called the second Joss went rogue.

Is Joss finishing her father’s fight or hijacking his company? Write to the editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and tell us.

Jax Never Asked Joss to Run His Company

Here’s the part everyone skips. Jax never told his daughter himself. On August 7, Hudson flew in from Australia and announced that Jax, off sailing around the world, had named Joss CEO. She was floored, annoyed that her father hadn’t asked her first, and flatly said she would not take over his business. We wondered right then whether the writers were plotting Jax’s way back home.

Three days later she tried to call him and couldn’t get through. She only took the job on August 24, after Jack Brennan ordered her to, because the WSB wanted eyes inside JJE. She told Hudson she would “honor her father’s wishes and uphold his legacy.” Jax hasn’t been seen in Port Charles since 2021, so every one of those wishes reached her secondhand.

Does Jax Know Josslyn Is Using JJE Against Sonny?

Not on screen. Nothing that has aired shows Jax hearing the plan, blessing it or even picking up the phone. The only executive who signed off is Hudson, and that should scare Josslyn Jacks more than Sonny does.

Remember what Hudson did the minute she accepted the CEO job. He phoned an unseen partner, said her taking it would “screw up” their plans and promised to make her change her mind. We flagged his two-faced act back in August. Now the man who wanted her out of that chair is cheering her into a war. If I know these writers, a CEO who burns JJE’s good name on a vendetta is exactly what Hudson’s partner ordered.

The WSB Is Auditing the Company Josslyn Jacks Wants to Use

Baines didn’t just say no. He ordered Joss to dig through JJE’s Far East investments and report anything questionable to the bureau. So she’s aiming her father’s company at Sonny while her own bosses comb it for dirt. If that audit turns something up, every move she made against Sonny lands in the same file.

Head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten have already warned that “JJE is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.” They also promised that when her war reaches Sonny’s family, “the results will be bloody.” Spend Jax’s money on revenge, and anyone else with a claim to his company gets a gift.

Carly Backs Sonny While Her Daughter Takes Aim

Joss’s mother has no idea. On Wednesday, Carly Spencer asked Anna to mentor Joss, convinced her girl is leaving the WSB to run JJE. Anna said no, and Carly confessed, “When I look at you, I see my daughter’s future.”

Then on Thursday, October 8, it feels like old times when Carly is there to support Sonny, the same day Lulu’s exposé hits Port Charles, Ava pitches Drew a new target, Curtis gets a shock and Chase throws down the gauntlet. The mother stands beside the man the daughter wants bankrupt. Viewers already know Ava and Drew framed Sonny for Pentonville, so Josslyn Jacks may be betting her father’s empire on the wrong man. Follow every move on our two weeks of General Hospital spoilers.

Jax Deserves a Say Before Joss Spends His Empire

Joss has a point about the feud. Jax and Sonny have been at each other’s throats for decades, mostly over Carly. But a grudge isn’t a signature, and nobody has heard Jax say yes to any of this.

My gut says the father and daughter blowup is coming, and it won’t be pretty. Is Joss a loyal daughter finishing her father’s fight, or a CEO gambling with money that isn’t hers? Tell us whose side you’re on over on our Facebook page.
