Jordan Ashford took her eyes off the road to nuzzle Curtis Ashford. That is not a metaphor. That is literally what happened. One moment of tenderness, one glance away from the windshield, and then screeching tires and a car heading straight toward them.

Someone is in that other car. And every single option is catastrophic.

Isaiah Gannon left Portia Robinson‘s cabin minutes before that crash to make a discreet house call for Lulu Spencer. He is on the road. Driving alone. At night.

Danny Morgan and Charlotte Cassadine left together in Charlotte’s car after Danny said he needed to blow off steam and race toward something fast. Two teenagers. One car. Speed on the brain.

And Portia is alone at that cabin. What if she decided to follow Isaiah? What if she got in her car and drove after the man who just promised her commitment and left in the middle of the night?

Picture it. Jordan and Curtis survive the crash. The airbags deploy. They stumble out of the car. And in the other vehicle is the man Portia loves.

Curtis would have to call Portia and tell her that his girlfriend put Isaiah in the hospital. Jordan would have to live with the fact that a moment of romance nearly killed the father figure of Curtis’s unborn child. Isaiah, who just pledged his commitment to Portia and her complicated family, could be fighting for his life because Jordan looked away for two seconds.

The guilt alone would break Jordan and Curtis apart before they even got to that dinner reservation.

What If It Is Danny and Charlotte

What if two teenagers who left a party to blow off steam are the ones Jordan hit?

Danny Morgan is Alexis Davis‘s grandson. Charlotte is Laura Collins‘s granddaughter. Those two families alone would bring every power player in Port Charles down on Jordan’s head. Sonny Corinthos would lose his mind over Danny. Laura would be devastated over Charlotte.

What if Portia got in her car after Isaiah left? What if she could not sleep? What if she decided to drive home and the road she took is the same road Jordan was on?

Portia Robinson is pregnant with Curtis Ashford’s baby. If Jordan’s car hit Portia’s car, Curtis is not sitting in a waiting room wondering if his ex is okay. He is standing in a hospital hallway being told that the mother of his unborn child was in a head on collision and the baby may not survive.

Jordan caused the crash. Jordan is Curtis’s girlfriend. Portia is carrying Curtis’s child. The math on that triangle is so devastating that nobody walks away from it without permanent damage.

If Portia loses the baby because Jordan looked away from the road, Curtis will never forgive Jordan. He will try. He will say the right things. But every time he looks at her he will see the moment she turned her head and his child’s future ended.

And Portia, who just told Isaiah she would not blame him for leaving because her baggage was too much, would wake up in a hospital bed having lost the baby to the woman Curtis left her for.
