Maxie Jones Is Back and Already Behind

Maxie Jones woke up yesterday on General Hospital, walked to the door of her Boston hospital room, and told James he was not skating without a helmet. The woman came out of a coma with her priorities perfectly intact.

Today, the doctors confirmed she is healthy. Spinelli rushed to her side, showed her photos, and Maxie was genuinely delighted to see that Brook Lynn and Lulu are getting along.

Oh, Maxie. Sweet, oblivious Maxie.

After the kids said their goodbyes and Spinelli took them home, Felicia sat her daughter down and said the words — Nathan is alive. The husband she buried, the man she mourned, the father James has been begging to know. He is breathing and walking around Port Charles like he never left. And Maxie Jones had to sit there and absorb the fact that the love of her life has been alive this whole time while she was sleeping through it.
