Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s Ring Slip Has Finn Demanding the Truth

The Ring Line Finn Could Not Let Go

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers on Steffy’s ring start with a slip. On Monday, October 19, Steffy Forrester Finnegan told John “Finn” Finnegan she did something while they were apart. She said she wished she had never taken off her wedding ring, and that she regrets everything that came after.

Then she swerved. “I agreed to be Daphne and Carter’s surrogate,” she told him, and said the procedure was done while he was away. “We used my frozen eggs.”

Finn, who knows she could never carry a baby and hand it over, exploded: “I can’t believe you went and did that!”

Then he said the line that froze the episode: “There’s more going on here. What is it? Steffy? Tell me.” Monday ended before she answered.

He is right, and our recap of Steffy’s surrogate confession has every beat. Finn still does not know about Carter Walton, and nothing in this week’s Bold and the Beautiful spoilers has him learning it. But that ring line was the closest Steffy has come.

Steffy Confessed the Wrong Time Apart

Here is what Finn missed. He and Steffy have been apart twice. The first time was Monaco, when she pulled off her ring on the August 13 episode, told him “We’re done! Stay with your mother,” and flew home alone after the fight over his birth mother, Sheila Carter. The second was his medical conference, after he told her no to the surrogacy on September 23.

Steffy confessed the conference. The surrogacy fits there. But the regret she could not swallow belongs to Monaco, and Steffy Forrester Finnegan knows exactly what happened that week. She and Carter drank together at Forrester on August 14 and woke up on the CEO office couch, a morning that aired August 18.

Then came the part that should haunt her. On August 19 she told Finn, “There’s something I need to tell you,” and never did. On August 20 he slid the ring back on her finger: “It’s always been you.” Two confessions started, two confessions stopped, both times right at the edge of Carter.

Does Finn Know Steffy Slept With Carter on Bold and the Beautiful?

Not yet. As of Monday, Finn knows the surrogacy and the implantation Steffy claims, nothing more. No network preview through Friday, October 23, has him learning about the night with Carter. What he has is a feeling, and a calendar.

The Calendar Points Straight at Monaco

Do the doctor’s math. Steffy’s story dates the baby to an implantation in early October, which makes her about five weeks pregnant this week. Counting from her August night with Carter, she is about 11 weeks along. That is a six-week gap no ultrasound can hide.

Count back from what a scan shows and you land in mid-August, the stretch when Steffy’s ring was off her finger. The ring line and the calendar point at the same days. A DNA test cannot catch this lie, because the cover story already names Carter’s sperm. Only the dates can, and Finn is a man who reads dates for a living.

Readers are way ahead of him. One fan on our Facebook page put it plainly: he is a doctor, his mother is a doctor, and they are not dummies. Another reader loved that Finn kept asking what else there was.

Two Doctors Close In on Steffy Forrester Finnegan by Friday

The week does not give her room to breathe. Finn’s adoptive mother, Li Finnegan, already knows. On Tuesday, October 20, Finn told her Steffy became Carter and Daphne’s surrogate while he was at his conference, and Li was stunned. Thursday, Steffy and Carter rush to the hospital, and we laid out what any scan there would show. Friday, Finn and Li investigate Steffy’s pregnancy, the two-doctor problem Steffy has been dreading.

Meanwhile Daphne Rose Walton still believes Steffy is carrying her and Carter’s child. My gut tells me Finn does not connect the ring to Carter this week. He will connect it to a date, and once a date says mid-August, Steffy Forrester Finnegan has to explain where she was.
