DEACON SHARPE IS PLAYING A DEADLY GAME AND TAYLOR HAYES IS THE ONE WHO WILL PAY

TL;DR: On The Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon Sharpe told Taylor Hayes to her face that he would sleep with his wife Sheila Carter while thinking of her, and then went home and did exactly that. This man is not caught in a love triangle. He is actively building Taylor’s coffin, and someone needs to say it.

Let’s Talk About What Deacon Sharpe Actually Did

Deacon Sharpe sat across from Taylor Hayes at Il Giardino, looked her in the eyes, and told her he would go home and have sex with his wife but would be thinking of her the entire time.

And then he went home and did it.

He poured himself a triple scotch first. That detail matters. That is not the action of a man at peace with his choices. That is a man anesthetizing himself so he can go upstairs and perform his marriage while mentally somewhere else entirely. It is cowardly, it is reckless, and on The Bold and the Beautiful, it is going to get someone killed.

That someone is Taylor Hayes.

Sheila Already Said the Quiet Part Out Loud

Let us not forget that Sheila Carter already issued the warning. Months ago, before any of this escalated to triple scotches and guilty fantasies, Sheila looked Li Finnegan dead in the face and said it plainly: if Deacon ever did anything inappropriate with Taylor, she would kill her.

Not vague. Not a maybe. Not a “I would be very upset.” She said she would kill her.

Sheila is a woman who has shot people she actually likes. She covered for a murderer to protect her own. She has nine toes and approximately zero impulse control when it comes to protecting what she believes is hers. Deacon knows all of this. He has lived with this woman. He knows exactly what she is capable of and he is sitting at a restaurant table telling another woman he will fantasize about her during sex anyway.

That is not a man in love making a tragic mistake. That is a man making Taylor a target.

Taylor Is Not Innocent Here But She Is the One in Danger

Taylor ended their conversation at Il Giardino with all the right words. She told Deacon to honor his vows. She reminded him what was at stake. She sent him home to his wife.

And then she went to her office and could not stop thinking about him.

Taylor Hayes is a psychiatrist who absolutely knows better, which makes watching her unravel over Deacon Sharpe both completely compelling and deeply alarming. She is not stupid. She understands the psychology of transference. She understands what Sheila is. She issued Steffy the assurances her daughter needed and then spent the rest of the episode proving those assurances meant nothing.

The woman is in trouble. And the man she is in trouble over is actively making it worse with every triple scotch and every loaded confession he delivers before going home to his wife.

Steffy Forrester Is the Only Person Thinking Clearly

Steffy Forrester has been ringing this alarm bell for months and nobody wants to listen because Hope and Deke are too busy romanticizing the whole situation and Taylor is too busy having feelings she cannot turn off.

But Steffy is right.

She is not wrong that Sheila is dangerous. She is not wrong that pushing this romance is putting her mother in harm’s way. She is not being controlling for the sake of it. She is being the only person in this storyline who has correctly assessed that Sheila Carter plus suspicion plus a husband who is emotionally checked out of his marriage is a combination that ends with someone bleeding on the floor.

Deacon Sharpe needs to make a choice, and he needs to make it before Sheila figures out who he was really thinking about. Because when she does, and she will, it will not be Deacon who pays the price.

Do you think Sheila is going to find out the truth about Deacon and Taylor? And when she does, how bad do you think it gets? Sound off below because we need to talk about this.
