PLOT TWIST! Katie Logan Bet the House of Logan on a Rookie, and Deke Sharpe Could Be Her Costliest Gamble Yet
Deke Sharpe previewed his rough designs at Logan, and we predict the green rookie could be the gamble that costs Katie her whole launch.
DEKE SHARPE IS THE UNTESTED DESIGNER WHO COULD SINK KATIE’S WHOLE OPERATION
TL;DR: Deke Sharpe previewed his rough designs for Katie at Logan, and the House of Logan is now officially up and running on the backs of two designers Forrester didn’t want. We are predicting Katie comes to regret betting her launch on a green, untested talent, and that she may have to poach Thomas to save the line, the very move that would prove her gamble didn’t pay off.
The Gamble That’s Already on the Runway
Here is the bet Katie just made, and it is a bold one. Deke Sharpe walked into the Logan showroom, admitted he was nervous to be following Eric, and sent rough designs down the runway while Katie and Hope Logan took notes. Then Katie Logan declared the House of Logan up and ready to go, and the whole room cheered.
Cheering is easy. The problem is what the cheering is built on. Deke is the same designer Forrester cut loose because Thomas and Zende had seniority and his work was branded, in the halls of Forrester, as good but not great. Now Katie has handed a brand-new house, with her name on the door and Bill’s money behind it, to that exact designer and to Hope, whose own line was on shaky ground before she walked. Two people Forrester discarded are the entire creative engine of Logan. That is either a redemption story or a slow-motion disaster, and Katie has staked everything on it being the former.
Why This Time Could Be Different
Now we speculate, and here is where it gets juicy. Everyone expects the discarded underdogs to triumph, because that is the story Katie keeps selling in her rally speeches. But what if the rookie is exactly as green as Forrester said? Deke himself has spent months unsure anyone likes his work. He has begged for one more shot while admitting he does not want special treatment. A man that unsteady, handed a launch collection with a brand-new fashion house riding on it, is a man who could buckle under the weight.
Picture the preview going sideways. The rough designs that looked promising in a showroom do not hold up in production. The press that Logan needs to make a splash is unimpressed. And Katie, who built her entire pitch on proving Forrester wrong, is suddenly staring at the possibility that Forrester was right about Deke all along.
The Name That Could Save Her, and Doom the Whole Point
Here is the trap. If the launch wobbles, the obvious fix is the one designer who has bailed out a struggling line before: Thomas. Thomas is the proven gun who triumphantly returned to steady Hope For the Future when it was on the ropes, the one who looked at Deke’s seat and called him replaceable. If Katie has to poach Thomas to rescue a line she launched on rookie talent, the rescue itself becomes the verdict. It would mean Logan could not stand on Deke Sharpe, the discarded-underdog fairy tale collapses, and Katie’s whole “we are the ones they threw away” mission statement turns into an admission that she needed a Forrester to make it work.
So the forecast writes itself. Deke Sharpe is the load-bearing wall of an operation that cannot afford a single crack. Either he proves Forrester wrong and becomes the breakout Katie swears he is, or he buckles, the line stumbles, and Katie goes hunting for Thomas, handing Brooke and Ridge the last laugh in the bargain.
Our Call
We think the show lets Katie ride high on the launch just long enough to make the fall hurt. A green designer carrying a brand-new house is too tempting a fuse for B&B to leave unlit. Our bet is that Deke Sharpe gets his moment, stumbles under the pressure, and forces Katie into a Thomas-shaped corner that costs her the one thing she wanted most: proof she never needed Forrester at all.
