FANS BLAST B&B WRITERS FOR DESTROYING HOPE LOGAN’S BACKBONE

TL;DR: On the May 6 episode of Bold and the Beautiful, Hope Logan threatened to quit Forrester Creations, got laughed at by Steffy Forrester, then ran home to mom Brooke Logan to vent instead of actually walking out the door.

Hope Logan Runs to Mommy Brooke After Steffy Forrester Humiliates Her

This week was supposed to be the moment Hope finally took her power back. Instead, viewers got another tearful retreat to Brooke Logan‘s couch. On Tuesday, May 5, Hope marched into Forrester Creations and warned Ridge Forrester and Steffy Forrester that if Forrester did not want her, someone else would. Steffy’s response was to laugh in her face and ask, “Then what? What are you gonna do?” Behind closed doors, Steffy told her father that Hope is “nothing without Forrester” and “lucky” to even have a job after the 2025 coup. By Wednesday, Hope was back at the Logan estate asking her mother to fight Ridge for her, telling Brooke she wished her mom were running the company instead. Fans watched it happen, and the comment sections lit up with one shared question. Where is the woman who used to fight her own battles?

Got thoughts on this Hope regression? Write to Amber at [email protected] and tell us if you think the writers will finally let her find her teeth, or if Annika is stuck playing tearful forever.

When Did the Bold Hope Logan Disappear?

Bold fans remember a very different Hope. Back in early 2025, Hope held the CEO chair at Forrester. She mocked Ridge to his face after he called her cruel names during the corporate coup. She told Brooke “for once, I just wanted you to pick me” and refused her mother’s comforting arms. The Thope era version of Hope Logan checked Steffy in the cabin without flinching, putting Steffy on notice that the petty games were over. That woman would have cleared out her office on May 5 and made a phone call by lunchtime. The 2026 version texts Brooke and asks for a hug.

Why Annika Noelle Deserves Better Material From Bold Writers

Let us be clear about one thing. This is not on Annika Noelle. The actress has been giving everything the script asks of her, including a new edgy bob that Soap Hub read on March 2 as a “subtle middle finger” to Steffy’s rigid expectations. The trouble is, the writing keeps walking that fire back. Even Soap Central’s Bryce Cameron wrote on May 1 that Hope “needs to stop mulling over her future and just cut the cord from her mother.” When the recap columnists are openly calling out the regression on the page, fans are not imagining things. Annika is a four time Daytime Emmy nominee with the chops to play any version of this character. The writers’ room owes her better material than ultimatums she never follows through on.

What’s Next for Hope Logan and the Logan Label?

Could this mean Hope finally walks? Don’t be surprised if she does. Spoilers from the week of May 11 confirm Hope Logan is on the verge of officially leaving Forrester for the rival Logan label. Liam Spencer has been pushing her to defect for weeks. Bill Spencer wants Deke Sharpe as her designer. Brooke has agreed to push hard for the co CEO chair. If I know these writers, the contract court fight teased for mid May will finally force Hope’s hand. Reading between the lines, this might be the moment fans have been waiting two years for. The catch? Hope might only fight back when someone else dares her to first.

Are Bold Fans Right to Demand More for Hope Logan?

The frustration is earned and the receipts are documented. Hope Logan is a 30 something woman with a daughter, a husband she just remarried in December, an adopted son in Paris, and a fashion line built on the idea of courage. Watching her plead with her mother while Steffy laughs is not the redemption arc Bold fans signed up for. Bring back the warrior who made the Forresters flinch. Annika is ready. The audience is begging. Check out the latest Bold and the Beautiful spoilers to see where the Logan versus Forrester war goes next.

Sound off below. Should the writers send Hope to the Logan label for good, or has the damage already been done? Drop your hot take in the comments and let us hear it.
