Bold and Beautiful’s Luna Nozawa manhunt was pathetically incompetent. Deputy Chief Baker and half of LA couldn’t find one girl hiding in tall grass.
HALF OF LOS ANGELES COULDN’T FIND ONE GIRL HIDING IN TALL GRASS
TL;DR: The Bold and the Beautiful delivered Luna Nozawa’s dramatic beach escape on Wednesday, and the manhunt was absolutely PATHETIC. Deputy Chief Baker, a police helicopter, and half the cast wandering around with iPhone flashlights couldn’t catch one prison escapee hiding in grass. The incompetence is staggering.
Deputy Chief Baker Should Resign After This Disaster
The Bold and the Beautiful gave us the most embarrassing police operation in soap history. Luna Nozawa escaped prison by hiding in a laundry cart, showed up at the Spencer beach house to harass Will Spencer, and then ran into the foggy beach. Deputy Chief Baker arrived with officers and declared they “have this handled.”
Spoiler alert: they did NOT have it handled.
Baker had a police helicopter with a spotlight. He had officers. He had Luna on FOOT in an open beach area. And yet Luna kept evading everyone by literally just hiding in tall grass. The recap says Luna was “smiling, enjoying the thrill of eluding those chasing her.” She wasn’t scared, she was having FUN because the search was that pathetic.
Baker appeared with a flashlight hollering at Luna to turn herself in, but he didn’t actually SEE her even though she was RIGHT THERE. Luna’s not a trained survivalist. She’s a murderer who thought showing up at Will’s place would win him back. And yet she’s outsmarting an entire police department by crouching in grass. The Bold and the Beautiful manhunt made the Keystone Cops look competent.

The Entire Cast Showed Up With iPhone Flashlights Like A Scavenger Hunt
The search party was ABSURD. Bill Spencer, Katie Logan, Taylor Hayes, Sheila Carter, Li Finnegan, Deacon Sharpe, Poppy Nozawa, and Ivy Forrester all showed up to help. The recap says “everyone searches frantically with the flashlights on their phones.”
iPhone flashlights. They’re hunting a PRISON ESCAPEE with iPhone flashlights on a foggy beach.
Meanwhile, back at the beach house, Will and Electra were making out while Luna was being hunted. The optics of Will kissing his girlfriend while the mother of his (now deceased) baby runs for her life are TERRIBLE. Will told Electra he wants to “put this chapter behind him” while Luna’s literally running through fog being chased by half of Los Angeles. The timing is almost comedic.
And can we talk about Sheila calling out “Luna, it’s your grandma. Come to me baby!”? That unhinged family dynamic deserves its own article. Sheila Carter as Luna’s “grandma” is the most deranged relationship on B&B right now.
Luna Nozwaa Was ENJOYING This Chaos While Everyone Else Looked Like Idiots
The recap specifically says Luna Nozawa was “smiling, enjoying the thrill” of evading everyone. This girl just had a miscarriage in prison, escaped, got rejected by Will AGAIN, and now she’s playing hide-and-seek with the police like it’s FUN.
Luna heard Taylor yelling she’d find her “one way or another.” She heard Deacon closing in. She heard Sheila doing her weird grandma routine. And Luna just kept SMILING and enjoying herself.
This means Luna wasn’t even trying that hard to hide on The Bold and the Beautiful. She was just casually evading an entire search party because they were all THAT incompetent at finding her. Deputy Chief Baker should be embarrassed. The LAPD should be embarrassed. Everyone with an iPhone flashlight should be embarrassed.
