The Bold and the Beautiful
Soap Opera Comings and Goings: A Wedding, Villains, and a HOT New Doctor Spice Up the Week of December 8
Greg Vaughan joins Beyond the Gates as Henry Joseph Samiri returns to B&B. Plus Anna’s back on GH and a DiMera rises on DAYS!

SOAP OPERA COMINGS AND GOINGS: HEROES RETURN, HEELS RESURFACE, AND ONE DOCTOR HAS US ALL VERY INTRIGUED
TL;DR: Get ready for major casting shakeups across all five daytime dramas! Beyond the Gates welcomes a dreamy new doc and a troublemaker, Bold and the Beautiful reunites a fan-favorite family for Hope’s big day, General Hospitalfinally brings Anna home, Days of Our Lives digs deeper into DiMera drama, and Young and the Restless isn’t done with its creepiest villain yet.
Beyond the Gates Gets Fresh Blood
Beyond the Gates is stacking its roster with some seriously exciting new faces, and we’re LIVING for it. First up, Greg Vaughan makes his highly anticipated debut as Dr. Kail Rollins, a traveling orthopedic surgeon who just might catch Nicole’s eye at Garland Memorial. The Days of Our Lives alum recently dished that creator Michele Val Jean literally twisted his arm until he agreed to join the cast — before she even told him what role he’d be playing. Now THAT is a power move.
But that’s not all for BTG fans. Domini Madison has been cast as Lynette Wise, a character the actress promises is “juicy” and “fun” and ready to bring her own brand of chaos to Fairmont Crest. Madison was spotted at a red carpet event supporting her friend Maurice P. Kerry, who plays Randy, and couldn’t contain her excitement about joining Season One’s finale and Season Two.

Hope’s Wedding Brings the Kids Home on B&B
It’s finally happening, bestie. Hope and Liam are tying the knot on Bold and the Beautiful, and you KNOW the kids are showing up for this one. Henry Joseph Samiri returns as Douglas Forrester on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to watch his mom marry Liam. The popular actor hasn’t been seen on the soap since July 2024, so this is a welcome reunion.
But here’s where it gets interesting — if Douglas is coming home, does that mean his dad is too? Matthew Atkinson was spotted on set back in October, fueling speculation that Thomas Forrester might be lurking around the edges of his ex’s nuptials. Jordan Gracie also gets prominent airtime as Beth Spencer, who will actually officiate her parents’ ceremony. And Sophia Paras pops in as Kelly Spencer, because what’s a Liam wedding without BOTH of his baby mamas’ kids present?
In other B&B news, Amy Davidson has been cast as Robin, a PR specialist hired by Forrester Creations to handle the Luna situation. The 8 Simple Rules alum should fit right in.
General Hospital Brings Back the Heavy Hitters
Finally! After being MIA since early November when her character was abducted, Finola Hughes returns as Anna Devane on General Hospital this week. Look for the super spy to be seen in captivity, working on her escape plan. Meanwhile, James Patrick Stuart’s Valentin Cassadine shocked Carly by showing up in her living room last Friday after months in a Swiss prison, and he’s sticking around for some major storyline developments.
Chris McKenna clocks in as Jack Brennan on Tuesday, along with Nazneen Contractor as Assistant DA Justine Turner and Bluesy Burke as Charlotte Cassadine. Paige Herschell also returns as Jacinda, sharing scenes with Rory Gibson’s Michael as their characters grow closer.
And speaking of those nightmare appearances, Avery Kristen Pohl recently opened up about her brief return as Esme Prince alongside Jeff Kober’s Cyrus Renault in Laura’s twisted dream sequence. The actress admitted she “missed that girl a lot” and isn’t ruling out future appearances — especially since she doesn’t believe Esme is actually dead. “If there’s not a body, you’re not dead, is my rule of thumb,” Pohl teased. Soap fans know that rule ALL too well.
DAYS Crypt Mystery Gets DiMera Deep
The mysterious crypt storyline on Days of Our Lives is about to get even more twisted. Thaao Penghlis resurfaces as Tony DiMera, and he’s joining Chad and Kristen for a bone-chilling discovery on Tuesday. Speaking of Kristen, Stacy Haiduk does double duty this week, also appearing as Susan Banks when she catches EJ and Cat in a compromising position.
Here’s the BIG news: a long-missing DiMera is returning! Dan Gauthier has been cast as Peter Blake, Kristen’s brother who hasn’t been seen in Salem for 27 years. The One Life to Live alum takes over the role originated by Jason Brooks. Richard Wharton also checks in as Dr. Rolf, because of course he does.
Y&R’s Creepiest Villain Isn’t Done Yet
Don’t get too comfortable, Newman fans. Despite being foiled by Victor, Roger Howarth’s Mitch Bacall/Matt Clark vowed his plot against Noah and the Newman family isn’t over. Word is the One Life to Live and Days of Our Lives legend, who signed on for a short-term arc, will be resurfacing soon to cause more mayhem in Genoa City.
