The Bold and the Beautiful
B&B’s Steffy Forrester Lost Her Nerve And Carter Walton Is Already Digging The Grave
Steffy Forrester chickened out on telling Daphne the truth, and Carter’s surrogacy scheme is about to take everyone down with it, fast.
STEFFY FORRESTER SAID NOTHING AND NOW EVERYONE LOSES BIG
TL;DR: B&B’s Steffy Forrester chickened out of the truth, Carter keeps spinning, and every B&B spoilers fan can see this cover-up ending in tears for everyone.

The Confession That Never Came
Steffy Forrester had the perfect opening to end this mess, and she let it slip through her fingers. The moment she told Daphne Rose that what she and Carter Walton did was wrong, Daphne supplied her own tidy explanation and went right back to hugging her, because Daphne wants this baby badly enough to accept the first answer anyone hands her. Steffy grabbed that lifeline with both hands, and now she sobs through a thank-you for the baby Daphne believes she’s carrying.
She meant to stay quiet for a moment. Now she has to keep it up through every appointment, every nursery plan, and every time Daphne calls her the most selfless person on earth.

Carter Has A Spiral, Not A Plan
Carter blurted out that Steffy was pregnant before Daphne’s implantation could even be confirmed, and that was the easy part of the lie. He has since promised his wife that Finn will understand once he finds out, which is bold, considering Finn doesn’t know a thing. His great cover story is that love and compassion make everything work out, and he repeats it like a man trying to convince himself. This is the same guy who spiked his coffee from a flask while his wife gushed about the plan, so forgive us for doubting his judgment.
The only line he drew all day was when Daphne wanted to celebrate on the office couch and he decided that felt wrong. The fake surrogacy? Totally fine. The couch? Too far. Carter’s moral compass has never pointed anywhere useful, and now it’s spinning in circles.

Eight Months Is A Long Time To Fake It
Steffy Forrester already told Carter the ugly truth: he’s not the one who will feel the baby kick and then have to hand it over. She said that, out loud, and then went right on agreeing to the plan. Finn believes the surrogate idea died quietly, which means he’s about to learn his wife has been carrying another man’s baby for his friends, and he won’t need a medical degree to work out the dates.
Then there’s Taylor Hayes, who spotted her exhausted daughter, asked what was wrong, and got a very suspicious change of subject to her own love life. Taylor has been sniffing around this secret for weeks. Brooke Logan is already floating baby shower plans for a surrogate she calls remarkable and can’t name. Everyone who loves Steffy is about to be thrilled for her, right up until they’re not.

Everybody Pays
Daphne said she wanted the kind of marriage Steffy has, built on absolute commitment. She has no idea whose commitment she’s borrowing. Steffy Forrester can either hand over a baby she has admitted she can’t give away, or keep it and set off every bomb she’s been tiptoeing around. Neither door leads anywhere kind.
Daphne loses her husband and her best friend in one afternoon. Finn loses his trust. Steffy loses whatever is left of her family’s peace. And the baby loses an honest start. Carter will probably insist right to the bitter end that it was all done out of love.
