DEAR B&B: If You’re Going to Ignore That Thomas Forrester Exists, Why Bring Him Back At All?

THOMAS FORRESTER DESERVES BETTER THAN BEING FORGOTTEN ON HIS OWN SHOW

TL;DR: Thomas Forrester has not appeared on screen in months, despite co-building Hope For the Future into a hit. Now that Hope has taken that exact line to Katie’s fashion house and turned it into a success there, the show is framing Eric versus Deke as the rivalry that matters. It should be Thomas against the woman whose defection proved his work could thrive without him.

Thomas Forrester Has Not Existed on This Show in Months

Thomas Forrester has not appeared on screen in months. Not a mention, not a phone call, not a single reference from the family he spent years fighting to belong to.

This is the same Thomas who co-built Hope For the Future into a genuine hit, standing beside Hope herself when the line succeeded, fighting Ridge, fighting Rick, fighting his own worst instincts for a seat at that design table. He earned his place in that line’s history the hard way. And right now, while that exact line is thriving without a single Forrester involved, the show is acting like Thomas doesn’t exist.

Hope Took the Line Thomas Helped Build and Made It a Hit Somewhere Else

Hope walked away from Forrester and took Hope For the Future straight to Katie’s fashion house at Logan, and the line is succeeding there. Eric had a full on-camera meltdown about it during a livestream, ranting that Katie stole her niece and unraveling in front of a reporter, while the very line Thomas helped build thrives under someone else’s roof.

And somehow, in the middle of that, the show has decided the compelling rivalry here is Eric versus Deke. Not the man who spent years pouring himself into that exact line. Not the person with the most complicated, most personal stake in watching it become a hit without him.

This Should Be Thomas Against the Line He Helped Make Famous

If Hope For the Future is the battlefield, Thomas needs to be standing on it. He is the person Hope thanked by name when that line hit its biggest success, the one who fought Ridge and Rick and half this family to earn a place on that design team. Watching Eric spar with Deke over a line Thomas built means nothing next to watching Thomas stare down the woman whose defection proved his work could thrive without him, or without Forrester at all.

Put Thomas on the runway against Hope’s new venture. Let him say out loud that she didn’t only leave Forrester, she took the line the two of them actually built together and turned it into someone else’s success story. That’s a story with teeth. That’s a story that actually uses this show’s history instead of pretending it doesn’t exist.

Ignoring Thomas Isn’t a Choice, It’s a Waste

Nobody is pretending Thomas has been a good guy. He’s done genuinely terrible things to this family, and nobody is asking the show to sand that history down. But that much baggage and that much history do not simply vanish for months while the show reaches for Eric and Deke instead.

If Forrester Creations is really this desperate for a compelling face to put against Hope’s success at Logan, the answer has been sitting on the payroll the entire time. Bring Thomas back to the center of this story, or explain why you’re paying an actor to disappear for months while a far smaller rivalry takes up all the airtime.
