Co-host Nikki Newman just got back on the wagon & the bride’s mother just returned to Genoa City from in-patient treatment across the pond. There was ample champagne everywhere & Abbott drama unfolding in front of everyone, including Ashley Abbott. This wedding is about to be the not-so-great gift that keeps on giving…
Champagne for You, You, You, & Nikki Newman?!?
Who knows if Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) enjoyed a glass or two or five of champagne, but we know she could have. Also, Young & the Restless fans know now that Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) has found her way out of the supposed most secure prison ever-ever-ever per Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) & is back in Genoa City & on the loose collaborating with Ian Ward (Ray Wise) at the Genoa City Motor Arms. Wherever Aunt Jordan is, there’s also plenty of alcohol for Nikki Newman. Regardless, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) made it possible for all kinds of alcohol to be readily available all over the new Newman Ranch. How is it possible that Victor forgot about what he just went through with Nikki meanwhile he’s doing everything in his power every damn day, including during his daughter Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) wedding to take down Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for his unapproved attempt to save Nikki from her addiction?
Diane Jenkins OUT, Accept for Right After Ashley Returns
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) arrived safely back home at the Abbott Estate in Genoa City being escorted by her brother Jack. She was told that he & Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) were done, Diane’s horrible, he should have never gotten back together with her, should have never trusted her & on & on. This just after Jack Abbott picked her up from in-patient care in part brought on by trauma caused by family drama at some point in her life.
Out of supposedly nowhere, Diane shows up at Abby & Devon Winters’ (Bryton James) wedding & Ashley is caught off guard. What happens when she arrives back home after walking her daughter down the aisle to Diane walking her brother Jack up to bed? After all of this shakes out, can her very old flame Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) please, please be there to help her put together the pieces since Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will not be making an appearance anytime soon? If Victor Newman can’t be knocked down a peg or two quite yet, how about his daughter Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)?
The Not-so-Great Gift That Keeps on Giving on Y&R
Between the abundance of champagne served during Abby & Devon’s dull wedding & Aunt Jordan out of the clink, another alcoholism reboot is headed Nikki Newman’s way, just in time for her to take over at Chancellor Industries. Her raised by Aunt Jordan granddaughter Claire now Newman (Hayley Erin) has been tapped to be her executive assistant. Will Claire be abducted yet again & trapped in another storage unit with another random dead woman? How long until Nikki Newman acquires a new flask?
What about Ashley Abbott? She went to Paris with at least three personalities & came back as her true self. What will happen after she learns she’s already been duped by Diane with the support of her brother Jack?
