Audra Charles Tells Noah Newman the Quiet Part Out Loud

Audra Charles and Noah Newman are making small talk at Society when the conversation takes a turn nobody saw coming. He tells her she deserves something special. She agrees. She says she had it once, and it ended. And then she tells him it was with him.

Noah has no idea what to do with that. He is standing in a restaurant with his girlfriend’s takeout order in hand being told by another woman that he was the one who got away. Holden Novak had been trying to recruit Audra into a scheme to keep Kyle Abbott away from Claire Newman five minutes earlier and she refused. Turns out Audra does not need a scheme. She just needed a moment alone with Noah and her own mouth did the rest.

Billy Abbott Has an Awakening

Billy Abbott and Cane spend a solid ten minutes at Crimson Lights dragging each other’s life choices and honestly both of them are right about the other one. Billy calls Cane delusional. Cane reminds Billy of his last “awakening” with Victoria. Billy says he has changed. Cane says he has heard that before. It is the most productive conversation either of them has had in weeks because at least they are being honest.

After Cane leaves, Billy thinks about Sally Spectra’s advice to visit his mother and mend the rift with Jill. He calls Sally and tells her he has made a decision. Whether that decision sticks longer than his last six decisions is a question only Genoa City can answer.

Claire Newman Feels Like Being Wild

Claire Newman tells Nikki she has no job, no relationship, and no idea what she wants. She went from being evil to a fairytale princess and now she is spinning in circles. She also says she feels like being wild, which is the kind of sentence that makes grandmothers clutch their pearls and soap fans grab their popcorn.

Nikki reminds her she is young and should live her life. Claire promises to be careful. Then Holden walks in, says hello, and saunters off. Claire smiles. Nikki notices. We all notice.
