EXCLUSIVE WEDNESDAY Y&R CANADIAN DAY AHEAD: Matt Clark Tells a HORRIFIED Sharon Newman That He Isn’t Going Anywhere

Matt Clark Won’t Let Sharon Newman Go

Matt Clark slides onto the Crimson Lights patio and startles Sharon Newman so badly she nearly loses her chair. She insists he didn’t scare her, though her white-knuckle grip on the table says otherwise.

Sharon demands to know why he keeps circling back. Matt admits he’s as haunted by his own past as everyone else is, but he still wants to know how Nick Newman is doing. She tells him the strong man she knows is lost right now, and if he truly wants to help, he’ll leave town for good.

Matt insists Sharon is the only person in Genoa City who doesn’t look at him with disgust, and he wants a real life here. Sharon Newman admits she understands more than most, since she once behaved in ways that shocked everyone who knows her and only gets forgiven because of her bipolar diagnosis.

Matt tells her flatly that he’s not bipolar or damaged, only fully aware of every choice he’s making. Sharon concedes she’s starting to believe he’s genuinely trying to change, even as his choices keep making that harder for everyone around him. Tearing up, he confesses part of him craves her forgiveness and Nick’s, though he knows that door may never open.

Sharon Newman warns Matt Clark plainly that his mere presence keeps reopening old trauma. He apologizes and swears it’s never intentional, then asks her to tell Nick he asked after him before he walks off, leaving Sharon’s face crumbling into pure horror.

A Venetian Night at the Ranch

At the Newman ranch, Victor Newman wanders through pastries, masquerade masks, and candles, and finds a note from Nikki Newman explaining she’s brought Venice home to him. She descends in a mask, and Victor promises a real Venice trip once their son is stronger, gushing over a book of love poems she hands him.

They marvel at always finding their way back to each other, then the mood sobers as they acknowledge Nick’s long road ahead. Nikki quietly wishes she could banish Matt Clark from their family for good.

Billy Pops the Champagne Early

Across town, Audra Charles finds Billy Abbott toasting alone at the GCAC. He updates her that Sally Spectra‘s sister is out of surgery and Sally’s due back by the weekend, then dodges every question about his sudden good mood.

Pressed, Billy finally admits the Abbotts own Chancellor Industries and he could be running it again within the week. Audra can’t wrap her head around it, and Billy snaps that she’s killing his celebration. Billy declares victory outright, daring her to join the celebration or let him drink alone.

Billy’s confident Sally will trust his judgment, though Audra doubts her friend will be thrilled. They toast to being real friends, and neither wants to hurt Sally. Sally walks in right as they’re mid-laugh with champagne in hand.

The Abbotts Weigh Their Options

Over at Jabot, the Young and the Restless power struggle rattles Jack Abbott and Kyle Abbott, who dissect Billy’s gloating before he’s even won. Kyle reveals Billy’s attorneys are pushing a week’s-end deadline, and Jack admits the paperwork looks airtight even as the fallout terrifies him.

Kyle urges his father to step back and let Billy triumph or implode entirely on his own. Jack sighs that his youngest brother never learns, and agrees to stay out of the fight for good.

Lily Declares War

At Society, Lily Winters meets Cane Ashby fresh off a call with the legal team, admitting that if Billy’s documents are real, they have a genuine problem. Cane reveals Billy’s own siblings won’t help him, but they won’t stop him either, and confesses he already offered Billy a job out of loyalty he now regrets.

Lily vows to fight with everything she has, and Cane’s fully on board, even floating exploiting Billy’s every weakness. Cane warns that dragging John Abbott‘s name through the mud will turn every Abbott against them, but Lily refuses to fight dirty while still promising she’ll do whatever it takes.

Lily warns that crossing her comes with steep consequences, and Cane admits he’s relieved to have her fully in his corner. Jack and Kyle arrive, and Jack apologizes for everything Billy’s putting her through. Lily makes it clear she and Cane are not backing down.
