EXCLUSIVE MONDAY Y&R CANADIAN DAY AHEAD: IS LOGAN DEAD?! Nick Newman and Marie Kirkland’s Confession Leaves One Big Question Hanging

NICK NEWMAN AND MARIE KIRKLAND FACE THE COPS

TL;DR: Nick Newman and Marie Kirkland’s rehab day ends with a police confession, a stunned therapist, and one giant unanswered question about Logan. Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman panic over a Phyllis Summers sighting, Phyllis Summers and Matt Clark keep plotting Sharon Newman’s rescue, and Jack Abbott gets flattened by wildlife in Tahiti.

NICK NEWMAN AND MARIE KIRKLAND’S CONFESSION SHOCKS REHAB

Marie Kirkland is in shock as Nick Newman tries to take the fall, telling the officer that Logan attacks first, falls, and hits his head while Marie is nowhere near the room. Marie refuses to let the lie stand.

She confesses it is her, not Nick, since the two are alone with nobody to back up his version. Nick argues, but Marie is ready to make her statement and face whatever comes.

The officer takes her statement and prepares to bring her in, and Marie Kirkland tells Nick Newman that Logan makes her feel worthless, so with him “out of the picture,” she might finally get clean. Nobody says the word dead, but between the officer, the statement, and Marie mentioning she no longer needs a divorce lawyer, the show dares fans to connect some very dark dots.

Nick calls Michael Baldwin to represent her before she leaves with the officer, then apologizes to the therapist for breaking the rules, not wanting to watch Marie spiral alone.

Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman Panic Over a Phyllis Sighting

At the Riverbank Motel, Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman reconnect the moment she arrives, and afterward both admit this is far too good to stay a one-time thing, even though continuing it technically counts as an affair. They agree to end things for real, right up until the next inevitable rendezvous.

Slipping out, Victoria spots Phyllis Summers in the hallway and dives behind a housekeeping cart, immediately spinning out about blackmail. Kyle tells her she is being paranoid, though nothing about this secret feels remotely under control.

Phyllis Summers and Matt Clark Keep Plotting Sharon’s Rescue

Next door, Phyllis Summers and Matt Clark order food and brainstorm a big rescue for Sharon, with Phyllis certain Sharon secretly loves playing the damsel. She calls Lauren Fenmore to fill her in and walks Matt through her feud history with Sharon over Nick.

They toss out ideas ranging from a staged kidnapping to a fake allergic reaction, but Phyllis shuts down the allergy plan given what happened between Patty and Summer. Matt insists he would save Sharon for real if given the chance, and Phyllis kisses him before heading out, nearly walking straight into the chaos next door.

Jack Abbott Gets Taken Down by Wildlife in Tahiti

A hike turns painful when Jack Abbott gets bitten by a large centipede, sending Diane Jenkins scrambling for ice and a doctor as his foot swells. Diane teases him about being taken down by a bug, and the two joke that Harrison Abbottwill never let him live it down.

Playing nurse turns tender again, with Diane admitting the trip has not gone as expected but she is falling for Jack all over again anyway.

Stephanie Simmons and Nate Hastings Toast to a Fresh Start

Back home, Stephanie Simmons surprises Nate Hastings with a recording of his own surgery, and he credits her with making his recovery possible. Devon Winters and Lily Winters stop by to toast the Winters family and Nate’s return to surgery before Stephanie heads to the hospital.

Once the siblings clear out, Stephanie returns with takeout, and the two settle in to watch his surgery together, which ends in a kiss neither one seems to be second-guessing.
