Nikki Newman and Victor Try for a Fresh Start
Nikki Newman and Victor Newman share a quiet breakfast at the GCAC, both still shaken from visiting Nick at rehab that morning. Nikki wants to know where things stand between them now that her sight is back, and Victor tries to dodge into “let’s focus on the kids” territory.
Nikki Newman isn’t having it. She points out they’re falling into old patterns without ever fixing what broke them in the first place, and when Victor brings up Jack, she holds her ground: Jack is her friend, Victor is her soulmate, and he needs to make peace with that if they’re going to have a future. He finally admits he shouldn’t have pushed her away, and by the end of the meal they’re heading home together, fresh start officially back on.

Noah Digs In on Getting Matt Out of Town
Sharon Newman notices Noah Newman skipping her muffins, always a bad sign, and he admits he’s worried Matt is playing on Sienna’s sympathy. She breaks the news that Nick has entered rehab, which only hardens Noah’s resolve that Matt has to go.
Over at the Shadow Room, Matt Clark corners Sienna Bacall and begs her to vouch for him with the Newmans so he can actually stay in town. Noah storms in and throws him out anyway, and Sienna makes it clear to her ex that nobody, Matt included, gets to decide anything for her.
Phyllis Gets a Scare, Then a Surprise
Phyllis Summers wakes up alone with no note and no text, and immediately spirals into believing Matt skipped town without a word. She fires off an angry text, then an angrier voicemail, before he strolls back in with an explanation that somehow works on her anyway: he let her sleep because she looked too peaceful to wake.
Matt admits he’s building himself a life in Genoa City that doesn’t require anyone’s permission, and Phyllis warns him not to trust anybody, herself included. It doesn’t stop either of them from clearly liking exactly where this is headed.

A Very Public Reckoning
Nikki Newman and Victor spot Phyllis and Matt together at the GCAC, and things go sideways fast once Victor clocks that Matt’s ankle monitor is gone. Matt shrugs it off as itchy, but Victor reminds him exactly what he agreed to.
Matt doesn’t back down either, announcing flat out that he’s breaking the terms to be with Phyllis. “We’ll see about that,” Victor growls, and something tells us that’s not a promise anyone wants to see him honor.
