Victor Newman Laughs Off Kyle Abbott’s Weak Revenge Threat
Kyle Abbott marches into the Newman ranch ready for a reckoning, and Victor Newman treats the entire confrontation like a mildly amusing inconvenience. When Kyle brings up Jack’s affair with Diane, Victor waves it off with an “Oh, yeah yeah yeahโฆpoor guy,” insisting he “plum forgot” and refusing to take any responsibility whatsoever for his role in it.
Kyle threatens payback is coming his way. Victor laughs in his face, telling him he once had “the semblance of promise” before following in his father’s footsteps, and suggests he go home and be the “ineffectual son” his family apparently wants. Kyle claims he wants to keep his soul, unlike Victor, and vows to return with an actual plan to ruin him. Victor’s response is pure theater: “Shiver me timbers! My goodness! I can hardly wait!” before ordering him out.
The second Kyle’s gone, though, Victor drops the act just enough to call for an update on Jack’s condition and whether the charges against Patty will stick. “Bring it on, man,” he mutters to himself afterward, and suddenly that mockery doesn’t feel quite so carefree.
Is Victor actually as unbothered as he’s acting, or is Kyle about to find out he poked the wrong bear? Send your theories to amber@soapoperamagazine.com, we’re taking bets.
Diane Jenkins Can’t Stop Panicking
At the Abbott estate, Kyle Abbott tells his mom the nightmare is over, but Diane Jenkins isn’t buying it until she knows exactly what’s happening with Patty. She admits the house itself feels haunted by everything that happened there.
Michael Baldwin rushes in with actual good news: Christine Blair has built a devastating case, and Patty’s outburst in court, addressing the judge directly against her public defender’s wishes, turned into enough of a circus that she was dragged out. Michael promises to stay on Patty “like a monkey on a cupcake.”
Diane admits she’s exhausted and still processing everything, including the uncomfortable realization that impersonating Markham’s patient forced her to confront real doubts about her marriage to Jack, doubts she’s since worked through. What worries her now is Markham himself, since the cops haven’t found him yet. She calls him creepy, with “dead eyes,” and admits she considered “drastic” measures while held captive. Michael promises he’ll always be there for her, whatever that means, and they hug it out.
Sally Spectra Confronts Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson
At the Chancellor Park cafรฉ, Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson talk through their son’s baseball schedule before Adam breaks the real news: Victor shot down their Newman Media rebrand and plans to go after Spectra-Charles instead. Chelsea refuses to be dragged along on “the latest revenge tour” and suggests they cut Victor out entirely and start their own company. Adam thinks it’d be easier to wait him out, but Chelsea isn’t convinced Victor will ever pass up a chance to hurt Billy, and going after Sally is the easiest way to do it.
Sally Spectra overhears enough to storm over and threaten a lawsuit if they come after her company. Adam and Chelsea both insist they won’t go along with Victor’s plan, but Sally isn’t fully convinced Adam will actually stand up to his father when it counts. She lets slip that Billy might be headed back to Chancellor before walking off to text Audra.
