Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) paced the room while Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) tore into each other like they had years of bad blood to settle. Sienna accused Riza of sleeping with her husband Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) for years. Riza fired right back that Sienna was the one who cheated and had no business talking about betrayal. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was nowhere in sight, since he was about to get blown up at a desert gas station along with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).
That single scene set Reddit on fire. Within hours, fans were lining up behind Riza and trashing Chelsea as “boring” and “insecure.”
Why the New Fan Favorite Has Genoa City in a Chokehold
Riza came back to Genoa City in late March after years away from canvas. She pulled a gun on Adam, kissed him within 24 hours, and proceeded to wreck Chelsea‘s confidence with a single smirk. By April 24, Riza had pocketed $500,000 for selling out Matt Clark, and somehow turned mercenary into magnetic.
Tina Casciani is giving the kind of performance that makes a five-week return arc feel like the start of something bigger. Then came the line that broke the thread wide open. When Sienna tried to drag Riza for sleeping with Matt Clark, Riza calmly reminded her that Sienna was the cheater first. Mic drop. Game over. Reddit declared a winner.

Chelsea’s Impossible Scene
Here’s the tough part for Team Chelsea. Chelsea is the mother of Adam‘s son Connor Newman. She just saved Adam‘s life by calling Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to send a rescue team after Matt Clark detonated that gas station. By all canon logic, Chelsea is Adam‘s endgame. She always has been.
But the writers handed her an impossible scene. While Riza and Sienna threw punches, Chelsea just paced. While Riza dropped the line of the year, Chelsea wrung her hands. Don’t be surprised if the show eventually rewards Chelsea‘s loyalty, but right now, in the court of fan opinion, she’s losing. Badly.
Sienna’s Different Game
Sienna isn’t really in the Adam race, and she knows it. Her storyline runs through Matt Clark and Noah, not Adam. Tamara Braun has said in interviews that Sienna‘s trauma in Vegas deepened her feelings for Noah. Could this mean Sienna becomes the woman who finally pulls Noah out of his father’s shadow? My gut tells me yes, and her bloody April 29 entrance proves she is the showcase player of this whole arc.
What’s Next for Adam?
Mark Grossman went on record calling the Adam and Riza dynamic “transactional,” which in soap speak usually means Adam is playing her. But fans aren’t buying that spin for a second. Reading between the lines, Riza Thomson has done in five weeks what most new arcs need a year to pull off, and the writers absolutely know it.
Don’t be surprised if Riza disappears from Vegas only to roar back into Genoa City with a jaw dropping secret she’s been holding since Adam‘s amnesia days. If history is any guide, Adam won’t survive this triangle without scorched earth on all sides, and Riza Thomson may walk away with the one thing that actually matters here, which is his real heart.
