The Young and the Restless
Y&R SPICY HOT TAKE! Christine Blair Is Doing Victor Newman’s Dirty Work Against Phyllis Summers and Calling It Justice
Victor Newman pointed Christine Blair at Phyllis Summers and Cricket did not need much convincing. We are siding with Phyllis on Y&R.

CHRISTINE BLAIR THINKS SHE IS THE HERO OF THIS STORY AND VICTOR NEWMAN IS COUNTING ON THAT
TL;DR: Victor Newman recruited Christine Blair to go after Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless and Christine did not need much convincing. The DA who built her entire identity around being Genoa City’s moral compass is doing The Mustache’s dirty work and calling it justice. We are not here to be balanced about this. We are siding with Phyllis Summers and we will not be taking questions.
Victor Newman Did Not Need a Scheme
Victor Newman has run some of the most elaborate schemes in Genoa City history. He has faked deaths, orchestrated kidnappings, manipulated entire families, and moved chess pieces across a board that most people did not even know they were sitting on. The man is approximately eighty four years old, sits in his chair, and still manages to run Genoa City from a seated position through sheer force of accumulated grievance.
Going after Phyllis Summers did not require any of that. Victor did not need a backroom deal. He did not need a briefcase full of incentives. He did not need to manufacture anything at all. He just needed a District Attorney who already hated Phyllis Summers and a direction to point her in.
Christine Blair was already loaded. Victor just pulled the trigger.
That is not recruitment. That is target acquisition. And Cricket walked right into it with her chin up and her moral compass pointed directly at the one woman in Genoa City she has never been able to fully put away.

Little Miss Goody Two Shoes and Her Very Convenient Grudge
Here is the thing about Christine Blair that Genoa City has always known and never fully said out loud. Cricket’s hatred of Phyllis Summers is not justice. It is personal. It has always been personal. It was personal before Christine became DA, it was personal during every legal battle they have ever had, and it is personal right now as Christine builds a case against a woman she has despised since approximately the dawn of Genoa City time.
Christine has spent decades positioning herself as the one person in this town who cannot be bought, cannot be manipulated, and cannot be turned. She is the moral compass. She is the straight arrow. She is the woman who does things by the book because the book is what separates her from the Phyllis Summers of the world.
Except the book does not say anything about a DA using her office to settle a decades long personal grudge on behalf of Victor Newman. That page appears to be missing from Cricket’s edition.
Michael Baldwin is defending Phyllis. Lauren Fenmore is in her corner. Phyllis is out and she is already three moves ahead of everyone in this story including the woman who thinks she is closing in. Fans on social media are watching Christine operate and asking whether any of this would be happening if Victor Newman had not pointed her in this direction first.
The Pawn Who Does Not Know She Is a Pawn
This is the part that makes the whole situation so deliciously complicated. Christine Blair genuinely believes she is doing the right thing. She is not twirling a villain mustache in her office. She is not cackling over a scheme. She woke up, put on her best DA blazer, and went to work convinced that bringing down Phyllis Summers is exactly what justice looks like.
That is what makes her so useful to Victor Newman. The Mustache has always understood that the most effective weapon is the one that does not know it is being fired. Christine’s hatred of Phyllis is real. Her conviction is real. Her belief in her own righteousness is completely genuine and absolutely unshakeable.
Victor did not corrupt Christine Blair. He did not need to. He just found a weapon that was already pointed in the right direction and whispered fire.
We Are Siding With Phyllis Summers
Phyllis creatively acquired Summers Conglomerate. Details, details. She has her children walking, Victor calling her bluff, and Christine Blair treating her first weeks as District Attorney like a personal vendetta dressed up in legal paperwork.
Victoria Newman is preparing a defense against Phyllis. Victor is pulling strings. Christine is swinging. And Phyllis Summers is not our first day in Genoa City and she is not going down without making absolutely sure everyone in that courtroom understands exactly whose agenda Cricket is actually serving.
Cricket thinks she is the hero of this story. Victor Newman is counting on that. We are siding with Phyllis Summers and we will not be taking questions.
