Enough With Claire Newman Already

Was any other Young and the Restless fan’s New Year’s Resolution to have less Claire on their screen in 2026? Yep… NOT shocking.

The newest Newman has somehow been woven into almost every single storyline on Y&R since she arrived in Genoa City after nearly killing a few of the Newmans.

Now Matt Clark is the latest “back from the dead” on Young and the Restless, and he’s back again for the Newmans.

Why not Claire Newman THIS time??…

Seriously, how do Young and the Restless fans decide which redundant topic or character to rant about on social media and beyond? This soap opera brings back people from the dead almost as often as Genoa City residents change lovers. Then, there is Claire (Hayley Erin).

Seriously, what does actress Hayley Erin have on who at CBS that she gets SO much screen time and is intertwined into almost every freaking storyline on Y&R?

Also, why can’t Genoa City residents who are blatantly killed on screen stay dead?

It’s Time for Another Claire Newman Kidnapping

Let’s do this thing. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) gets kidnapped about as often as someone is brought back from the dead on Young and the Restless, especially when she is wearing a top filled with sparkles.

So, next up… Claire. Yes, since becoming an “official Newman,” she’s been kidnapped once, but not for long.

She was kidnapped by her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and found by Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and her late husband, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), who found their daughter out of nowhere with a dead woman in Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) previous storage unit.

Sure, Claire was raised by a psycho, but that was pre-Newman. She HAS to be kidnapped at least one more time to make her a legit Newman.

Kyle Abbott Is STILL an Idiot

Father and son Abbott have Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and are trying yet again to upstage and win against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). This isn’t their first time trying something like this, and at least this time they have someone instead of something, ergo more of a chance of triumph over The Mustache.

Yet, son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) remains an idiot on Y&R and he is the classic apple that doesn’t fall from the tree, his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Could it be that Kyle Abbott, being a consistent idiot in Genoa City on Young and the Restless, is finally rewarding to soap opera fans? Will Kyle’s next faux pas be leaking to Matt Clark about the only Newman Matt Clark doesn’t yet know about?

It’s time for a break from Claire. Matt Clark hates Newmans but loves hurting them. Let’s get Claire into some sparkle and locked up for a bit on Y&R. Soap opera fans need a break.
