Devon Winters Is Not Interested in Grace

Devon Winters invites Lily Winters over and does not waste a second. He tells his sister that Mariah Copeland‘s plea deal is bugging him. Not concerning him. Not unsettling him. Bugging him the way a splinter bugs you when it is buried under the skin and nobody around you thinks it is a big deal.

Lily thinks the deal could be for the best. Christine built a clever defense. Mariah will get the help she needs. Devon Winters does not care about any of that. He thinks Mariah deserves treatment AND consequences. He thinks she could pull the wool over a doctor’s eyes the same way she pulled it over everyone else’s. He tells Lily he was picking up slack at work because of her absence, which left Abby Newman alone with Dominic in the yard. Abby thought he was playing a game. Abby thought he was hiding. Dominic was gone.

Devon is not blaming himself. He is not blaming Abby. He is placing every ounce of it on Mariah and he is furious that the system has decided a treatment program is sufficient punishment for a woman who took his son.

Lily tells him to let go of his anger. Devon Winters does not let go of things. Devon Winters holds on until his hands bleed and then holds tighter. This is not going to end with a plea deal and a therapy appointment. This is going to end with Devon tearing down whoever signed off on it.

Devon Winters is not accepting the plea deal and he wants Mariah to pay. Do you think he is right or has grief taken over? Send your hottest takes to [email protected] and we just might publish them!

Abby Is Listening to Her Son Breathe

Daniel Romalotti finds Abby at Society doing inventory. She asks about Mariah’s long term plan. She admits it feels like there have been no consequences. And then Abby says the thing that should shatter every parent watching.

She cannot stop checking on Dominic. She is using his old baby monitor so she can hear him breathe. Her son is old enough to not need a monitor. Abby Newman is using one anyway because the fear will not stop.

She blames herself for looking away for a few minutes. Daniel tells her there is no way she could have known. She wants Mariah held accountable but does not know if prison or the hospital is the right answer. Daniel says Mariah’s trauma pushed her into this and maybe one day there will be forgiveness for everyone.

Devon arrives and Daniel leaves quickly. Devon tells Abby that everyone is wrong about thinking Mariah just needs treatment. She needs to pay. Abby thinks prison is a huge jump. Devon Winters is determined to stop the DA from being re-elected because of this deal.

Abby Newman is listening to her son breathe through a monitor. Devon Winters wants the DA removed from office. One parent cannot sleep. The other cannot stop fighting. Mariah Copeland did this to both of them and the system thinks a treatment plan is enough. Devon disagrees and he is not waiting for anyone’s permission to do something about it.

Cane Ashby Tried to Recruit Holden and Got Turned Down

Cane Ashby sits down with Holden Novak at Crimson Lights and makes him an offer. He wants Holden to get close to Claire Newman and gather intel on Victor Newman. Holden does not want to put Claire in danger. He says no.

Cane pats him on the back and walks off to order coffee like a man who expected that answer and has three more options in his pocket. Holden chases after him and apologizes for letting him down. Cane tells him he will find another way.

Then Lily walks in and locks eyes with Cane. He tells his ex that if they see each other, they should cross the street. She wants to talk. He refuses and exits. Holden returns and warns Lily that Cane is not in a good place. Whatever he has planned feels big. He urges her not to get caught in the crossfire.

Cane Ashby got turned down by Holden, burned a bridge with Lily, and walked out of Crimson Lights with his jaw set and his plans intact. A man who tells his ex wife to cross the street when she sees him is a man who has stopped caring about collateral damage. Genoa City should be paying attention.

Jack Abbott Begs and Diane Jenkins Says He Is Not Invited

Jack Abbott begs Diane Jenkins for a moment. He tells her if he loses her his life has no meaning and Victor wins. Diane tells him this is not about Victor. This is about him taking the bait.

She says she has images of what she walked in on and cannot get past them. She says it guts her to be close to him. She says she is too angry to forgive him right now even if she wants to. Kyle Abbott returns and Diane tells him to stay. She is having dinner with her son. Jack is not invited.

Jack leaves. Kyle asks his mother if he is supposed to hate his dad. Diane says “maybe just a little.” Then she goes upstairs and the composure she held together in front of Jack falls apart.

Later, Jack goes home and tells Traci Abbott he has failed. He says he was unfaithful to Diane with Patty Williams. Traci says he was drugged. Jack wonders what it says about him that he did not resist. Traci tells him to save his marriage.

“Maybe just a little.” Three words from a wife to a son about the man she built her whole life around. Diane Jenkins is not okay. And the worst part is that she still wants to forgive him and cannot figure out how.

Devon wants Mariah to pay, Abby is listening to her son breathe, and Diane told Jack he is not invited to dinner. Who do you think is right about Mariah’s plea deal? Sound off below because Monday is going to wreck us!
