Have you been watching Diane Jenkins Abbott lately? Because let me tell you, the woman is absolutely SEETHING behind that perfectly composed facade. And who can blame her? While she’s been busy picking out mansion decor, her son’s happiness has been sliding right into Victor Newman’s crosshairs!

For weeks now, I’ve been watching Diane quietly observing from the sidelines as Kyle Abbott makes one questionable decision after another in his desperate attempt to outsmart Audra Charles. But mama bear’s patience? It’s officially running thin.

DIANE’S ALARM BELLS ARE RINGING LOUDER THAN THE NEWMAN TOWER FIRE ALARM

Let’s face it — Diane hasn’t survived decades of Genoa City drama by being oblivious. She KNOWS something’s up with Victor hiring Audra, and that woman’s sudden interest in her son isn’t exactly subtle.

I mean, seriously? Kyle thinks he’s being so clever getting closer to Audra to figure out if her miracle product at Vibrante is legitimate. Bless his heart. The boy clearly hasn’t learned that when you play with snakes, you’re bound to get bitten!

And Diane? She’s watching this disaster unfold with those mama bear instincts screaming. Her son FINALLY has something good going with Claire Newman (talk about an unlikely couple that somehow works!), and he’s about to blow it all up because he can’t see what’s right in front of his face.

KYLE’S PLAYING WITH FIRE AND CLAIRE’S PATIENCE IS WEARING THIN

The week of May 19-23 is shaping up to be EXPLOSIVE. According to my sources, Claire is going to put her foot down about Kyle’s little spy games with Audra. Can you blame the girl? Nobody wants to watch their boyfriend cozy up to a known schemer — especially one as skilled as Audra Charles.

But will Kyle listen? Please! This is the same man who once thought working with Summer Newman on their divorce wouldn’t be complicated. The Abbott heir is nothing if not consistently stubborn.

One thing’s certain — when Claire objects to his Audra plot, Kyle isn’t backing down. He’ll either flat-out ignore her concerns or (more likely) pretend to agree while continuing his little investigation behind her back.

Either way? Recipe. For. DISASTER.

DIANE’S SCHEMING SIDE IS ABOUT TO MAKE A GLORIOUS COMEBACK

Remember when Diane was Genoa City’s premier manipulator? When she could outscheme Victor Newman himself on a good day? Well, those skills haven’t disappeared — they’ve just been dormant while she played house with Jack Abbott.

My sources tell me that as Kyle’s situation spirals, Diane is going to reach her breaking point. After weeks of renovation talk and playing nice with the Abbotts, she’s ready to embrace her more… let’s call it “proactive” side.

And honestly? It’s about damn time! The woman has been surprisingly tame considering her history.

I’m hearing whispers that Diane is going to start doing some serious digging into what Audra is REALLY up to on Victor’s behalf. And when Diane Jenkins starts snooping? Secrets don’t stay buried for long.

WILL DIANE’S INTERVENTION SAVE KYLE AND CLAIRE’S FUTURE?

Here’s where things get REALLY interesting. Diane’s investigation could be the one thing that exposes Audra’s plans before they successfully drive a wedge between Kyle and Claire.

Think about it — Audra believes she’s got everything under control. Victor thinks his plan is foolproof. Neither one of them is factoring in a mother’s determination to protect her son’s happiness!

Can you IMAGINE Victor’s face when he realizes Diane has outmaneuvered him? Again? The man’s ego barely recovered the last time she got the upper hand.

And Audra? Girl, you might be good, but you’re playing in the big leagues now. Diane Jenkins Abbott wrote the book on scheming in Genoa City when you were still in diapers!

I don’t know about you, but I’m grabbing my popcorn for this showdown. The week of May 19-23 is going to be MUST-SEE TV as Diane finally sheds the decorator persona and reminds everyone why you should NEVER underestimate a mother protecting her cub.

Will Diane save the day? Will Kyle and Claire’s relationship survive Audra’s interference? Or will Victor find a way to counter Diane’s moves?

One thing’s for sure — Genoa City is about to witness the return of the REAL Diane Jenkins. And I, for one, couldn’t be more excited.
