Something isn’t adding up, and we think Matt Clark might be pulling the strings.

Let’s look at the facts. Matt Clark — a man who was supposed to be DEAD — is alive and well in Los Angeles, running a nightclub called The Shadow Room under the alias “Mitch Bacall.” He’s married to Sienna, who was suspiciously connected to Noah Newman’s “accident.” Matt is running a fentanyl operation with undercover cops trying to take him down. And Victor Newman has been trying to handle this situation from Genoa City.

Now here’s where it gets interesting. While all this Matt Clark drama is unfolding in LA, Holden conveniently appears in Genoa City and gets close to Claire Newman — Victor Newman’s GRANDDAUGHTER. Coincidence? We think NOT.

Holden Was RIGHT THERE When Claire Attacked Audra

Let’s rewind to what happened at Society last week on Young and the Restless. Audra Charles walked up to Claire and told her to get a life and stop digging into hers. Claire fired back, Audra SLAPPED her, and then Claire wrapped her hands around Audra’s throat. And who was there to physically separate them? HOLDEN.

Now, this week’s spoilers tell us that Audra is making a deal with Holden. A DEAL. What kind of deal does Audra Charles need to make with some random guy? Unless… he’s not just some random guy.

What if Holden has been working for Matt Clark this entire time? What if his job was to get close to Claire Newman — to use her as leverage against Victor? The Newmans have been a thorn in Matt Clark’s side ever since Sharon recognized him in LA. Victor threatened to decimate Matt’s business. Nick has been investigating Noah’s accident. The Newman family is actively trying to take Matt Clark down.

So what better revenge than to plant someone in Genoa City to get close to Victor’s granddaughter?

Claire Newman Is the Perfect Target

Think about it. Claire Newman is relatively new to the Newman family. She spent years being manipulated by Jordan, so she’s already vulnerable to manipulation. She’s been emotionally torn between Kyle Abbott and now Holden. And most importantly — she’s Victor Newman’s granddaughter, which makes her VALUABLE.

If Matt Clark wanted to hurt Victor, going after Claire would be devastating. Victor has already lost so much, and he’s fiercely protective of his family. Claire being in danger would force Victor to make impossible choices. Does he continue his attack on Matt Clark’s operation, or does he back off to protect his granddaughter?

The timing is just too suspicious. Holden shows up right when the Matt Clark situation is escalating. He gets close to Claire. He’s present when Claire has a violent confrontation with Audra. And now he’s making deals with Audra behind closed doors? Something is VERY wrong here.

What’s Audra’s Role in All This?

And speaking of Audra — what is SHE getting out of this deal with Holden? Audra Charles always has an angle. She doesn’t do anything unless it benefits her. So what could Holden possibly offer her?

Unless Audra is in on it. What if Audra has been connected to Matt Clark’s operation this whole time? What if her constant conflict with Claire isn’t just about Noah or petty drama — what if it’s deliberate? What if Audra has been trying to destabilize Claire emotionally to make her more vulnerable to Holden’s manipulation?

The spoilers also say Noah and Audra have an “unexpected reunion” this week. Noah was the one Matt Clark tried to KILL. Why would Audra suddenly reunite with Noah unless she’s trying to get information? Or distract him from what’s really going on?

Nick Newman Needs to Protect His Niece

Friday’s Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick Newman takes matters into his own hands to protect Sharon. But maybe Nick needs to be protecting Claire too. If Holden really is working for Matt Clark, Claire has no idea she’s sleeping with the enemy.

Victor is so focused on attacking Matt Clark and Jack Abbott that he might not see the threat that’s already INSIDE Genoa City. Someone needs to investigate Holden before it’s too late. Run a background check. Dig into where he came from. Find out why he really showed up in town when he did.

Because if we’re right about this, Claire Newman is in serious danger, and she doesn’t even know it.
