Young and the Restless spoilers have fans convinced Matt Clark is about to make Kyle Abbott pay for his silence. On Thursday, September 24, Matt spotted Kyle leaving a room at the motel Matt now calls home. On Friday, Matt and Phyllis Summers cornered Kyle outside that same door and demanded answers.
Here’s the twist the fan groups keep skipping. Matt never laid eyes on Victoria Newman. She hid inside that room the whole time and slipped out unseen once Matt and Phyllis went into his room. The man everybody says is holding the stopwatch doesn’t even know whose race he’s timing.
Kyle’s cover story was a work meeting, which convinced exactly nobody. Matt floated a darker read and suggested Kyle must have been feeding an addiction. Phyllis landed on a third guess, that Kyle was trailing Matt to find Patty Williams. Anyone following the latest Young and the Restless spoilers knows Matt and Phyllis both missed the real answer by one door.

Matt Has a Grudge and a Front Row Seat to the Newman and Abbott War
Don’t laugh off the blackmail chatter just yet. Matt Clark reminded Kyle on Friday that Kyle and his father, Jack Abbott, once held him for ransom. Kyle promised he wouldn’t hand Matt over to the Newmans again, and he clearly suspects Matt is doing Victor’s dirty work. Matt, for his part, admitted he gets a kick out of the Newman and Abbott feud and would love to see one family flatten the other.
That’s a man with a grudge who lives at the same motel where Kyle keeps turning up. We flagged the moment Matt caught Kyle at the motel before it aired, and Friday only turned up the heat.
Will Matt Clark Blackmail Kyle Abbott Over Victoria Newman?
Not yet, because Matt doesn’t know what he’s holding. He knows Kyle sneaks around a motel. He has no clue that Victor Newman‘s daughter was on the other side of that door, and without her name the secret is worth about as much as a room key.
Here’s the wrinkle nobody is talking about. The pressure actually runs the other way right now. On Friday, Victor assured Nikki Newman that Matt Clark had left town, and Victoria knows better. She thought about telling her father he’s still in Genoa City, then bit her tongue, because the very next question would be what she was doing at that motel.
She’s already stretching her luck. Victor asked where she’d been, and she dodged it, then brushed off Kyle’s incoming call as spam. Her mother has been watching her since Monday, when Nikki caught her flushed and glued to her phone.
Victor Is Ready to Run Matt Out of Genoa City
Matt’s clock is ticking louder than Kyle’s. He slipped out of Phyllis’s bed on Friday while she slept, promising to come back once Patty is dealt with, and Phyllis woke up alone and pulled on his hat. Monday’s spoilers say Victor hands Matt his marching orders. For the record, no exit has been announced for Roger Howarth, so this is a story goodbye and not a casting one.
My gut tells me Matt Clark doesn’t go quietly. A man being pushed out of town starts looking for something to trade, and if he ever figures out who was hiding in that room, Kyle becomes his favorite bargaining chip. Don’t be surprised if Matt’s exit includes one parting shot aimed straight at the Abbotts.
The bigger danger may not be Matt at all. Phyllis was outside that door too, and she isn’t going anywhere. Spoilers say Victoria and Kyle have to keep up appearances in front of Claire Newman, Victoria’s daughter and Kyle’s ex, on Wednesday, September 30. Then comes Billy Abbott and Sally Spectra‘s October wedding, a room packed with Abbotts and Newmans where one wrong glance could blow the whole thing wide open.

No. Matt saw Kyle Abbott leave the room on September 24 and confronted him with Phyllis Summers on September 25, but Victoria hid inside the whole time. She slipped out unseen after Matt and Phyllis went into Matt’s room. Matt’s own guess was that Kyle was feeding an addiction.
Is Roger Howarth leaving Young and the Restless?
No exit has been announced. Matt Clark left Phyllis Summers while she slept on September 25, and spoilers say Victor Newman gives him his marching orders on September 28. That is a story exit. Neither CBS nor Roger Howarth has confirmed that he is leaving the show.

Nobody has put it together on screen. Nikki Newman has been suspicious since September 21, Victor Newman asked Victoria where she had been on September 25, and Phyllis Summers questioned Kyle outside the motel room. Claire Newman, Victoria’s daughter and Kyle’s ex, has no idea.
