MATT GETS HAULED TO THE RANCH THIS Y&R CANADIAN DAY-AHEAD

TL;DR: This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead drags Matt Clark straight into the lion’s den for one more face-off with Victor Newman and Nick Newman, while Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott christen a brand-new hideaway, Phyllis Summers dangles a very familiar-looking offer in front of Cane Ashby, and Billy Abbott confesses he got guilted into one risky wedding invitation. Craving what’s next? Our Y&R spoilers for the next two weeks have the goods.

Matt Clark Gets a Personal Escort to the Newman Ranch

This Y&R Canadian Day-Ahead opens with a rare sight: a Newman in a genuinely good mood. Nick Newman drops by the ranch for tea, and Victor Newman reports that Nikki Newman was out the door and off to work at the crack of dawn. Nick feels rejuvenated and loves having a purpose again, and his proud papa reminds him to hold onto that feeling and reach out for counseling if he ever needs it. Tea, sunshine, sobriety. What could possibly ruin it?

Enter Matt Clark, courtesy of Newman security. Nick instantly fumes, the guard gets sent out, and Matt grumbles that he was trying to leave town when they dragged him back. Victor, who has sat through this farewell tour more times than a Vegas residency, points out that Matt has announced his departure many, many times. Matt swears he only needed to tie up some loose ends. He won’t be leaving alone, but he won’t be leaving with Phyllis Summers either, and he’s doing Genoa City a public service by taking Patty Williams off its hands. Victor actually laughs. Out loud. At Matt. Mark your calendars.

Nick wants Patty handed straight to the authorities, but Matt insists he can reason with her and talk her into turning herself in. Pull that off, and maybe the Newmans will finally stop seeing a monster. Either way, he’ll never be redeemed while he’s in town, so gone is where he intends to stay. Victor stops him before he can make a clean exit, and Nick makes it crystal clear that if he ever lays eyes on Matt again, it ends badly.

Matt thanks them for not ending him, then can’t resist one last speech. He did something for them, it felt good, and Nick should remember how incredible Phyllis is. Nick answers with a bellowed order to get out that probably rattles the horses. Once Matt is gone, Nick hopes the nightmare is finally over, though he concedes Matt does seem changed. Even his security detail liked the guy. (Rehab really is working if Nick can say that with a straight face.) Father and son both wish Noah Newman were still there.

Then Victoria Newman glides in, and Victor declares he’s never seen his daughter look more radiant. The men thank her for the heads-up about Matt and assure her they made sure he left town, and Victor gets sentimental about his kids working side by side, because family is everything and he loves them both. Victoria beams. Daddy has no idea where that glow came from, and trust us, he does not want to know.

Victoria Newman and Kyle Abbott Play a Game With Very High Stakes

Rewind to the source of all that radiance. Victoria walks into an apartment and finds Kyle Abbott waiting for her. She reminds him it’s a work day. He answers by kissing her. When she goes for his buttons, Kyle insists there’s plenty of time, and Victoria explains she refuses to feed the stereotype that CEOs don’t work. Noted. She’s clearly working very hard.

She confirms she told her dad about spotting Matt, conveniently skipping the motel part. Kyle scored this place, and Victoria figures it needs some work before they make it their own. Then she starts massaging him with her feet, and he pulls up a game on his phone with a better idea: Never Have I Ever, played for clothes, all in the noble name of getting to know each other. Victoria cancels her meetings. Kyle already cancelled his. Productivity at two major corporations drops sharply.

The taunting flies as the clothes come off, and once they’re down to their underwear, Kyle teases that maybe they should stop. Victoria proposes that someone forfeit. Nobody forfeits. He scoops her up and carries her to the bed.

Afterward, dressed again, Victoria admits the place is nice, and they agree nobody can ever know it exists. So far, they’re sure nobody does. (Famous last words in Genoa City.) They confess the sneaking around is half the thrill and christen the apartment their “danger zone.” Kyle feels like he knows her so much better after their little game, and they agree, very firmly, that they are not dating. It’s all fun and games, and whenever they’re there, the rest of the world gets shut out. The rest of the world has a nasty habit of knocking.

Phyllis Summers Goes Shopping at the GCAC

Across town at the GCAC, Billy Abbott runs into Cane Ashby, who’s bragging about using AI for medical research. Cane thinks it’s a good thing Billy didn’t fight Lily Winters for the company, and Billy says he wants the company to succeed too. Look at them, being mature. Cane passes along that Jill Abbott is thrilled to be invited to the wedding. Billy makes it clear he did that for Sally Spectra, and he fully expects a blow-up at the ceremony anyway. Cane is sure Jill will behave. Billy admits he got guilted into the whole thing. The seating chart just got a lot more interesting.

Phyllis sashays in and assumes the two are up to no good. They trade worst-case scenarios, and she helpfully offers Billy’s upcoming marriage as a prime example. Ouch. She brags that she’s about to take Arabesque to heights nobody has ever seen, Billy calls her delusional, and she reminds Cane what a good team they made while needling Billy for having nothing to do. The boys fire back about her fling with Matt, which seems like a bad idea even by Phyllis standards. She announces he’s gone, she doesn’t care, and she has Lauren Fenmore, which is all she needs. Totally convincing.

Once Sally texts and Billy takes off, Cane pegs Phyllis as up to something. She insists Arabesque is fine and that she’s streamlining and focusing on the future, but Cane can see how high-strung she is. Then, before he can escape, she mentions an offer: she wants to buy every property he snapped up when he came back to town, the GCAC included. Cane reminds her she burned him last time, and that he’s thriving in spite of her. Then he connects the dots and guesses she’s about to run the very plan he abandoned. Recycling is great for the planet. Less so for Genoa City.

Kyle Abbott Can’t Wipe the Grin Off His Face

Over at Crimson Lights, Billy finds Kyle smiling to himself and hopes he’s celebrating a big win at work. “Something like that,” Kyle says. Sure. If work now involves a party game played in your underwear.

The two talk bachelor party plans, and Billy thanks his nephew for the way he’s stepped up for the family. If Kyle keeps making such good decisions, Billy says, he’ll be the golden boy forever. Somebody check on Kyle’s poker face, because it’s about to put in overtime.

Monday Keeps Its Secrets Close

Between a farewell Matt swears is final, a Newman daughter glowing a little too brightly at the ranch, a round of Never Have I Ever that goes all the way, and Phyllis trying to scoop up Cane’s real estate, Monday stacks secrets like poker chips. And Billy has officially crowned Kyle the family’s golden boy. That crown looks awfully slippery from here.
