Michael Baldwin Is the KING of Romance
Okay, can we just talk about how Michael Baldwin absolutely UNDERSTOOD the assignment on Tuesday’s episode? This man transformed the entire GCAC dining room into a casino to celebrate his 20th wedding anniversary with Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, and honestly? Every spouse watching at home just got shown up SPECTACULARLY!
Lauren walked into the club dressed to the nines and found her husband standing behind a blackjack table in a full tuxedo. When he dealt her three cards, they weren’t regular playing cards—they were custom cards that said “Happy 20th Anniversary!” Because Michael Baldwin doesn’t do ANYTHING halfway!
The whole setup was a callback to their engagement, when Michael proposed to Lauren at a blackjack table twenty years ago. Lauren even teased him that his hair was a lot darker back then, and Michael laughed that now she can see him from space! These two have the kind of banter that only comes from two decades of marriage and genuine love!

The Flashbacks Had Us SOBBING
Tuesday’s episode was basically a love letter to long-time Young and the Restless fans, because the flashbacks were INCREDIBLE! We got to see young Michael proposing to Lauren with confetti raining down. We saw their first kiss, their honeymoon, and—get this—a strip poker game in Michael’s office! These two have always known how to keep things SPICY!
But it wasn’t all fun and games. The flashbacks also showed the harder moments in their marriage—Lauren’s funeral when she was presumed dead after a yacht explosion (she was rescued by Paul, thank goodness!), their fights when Lauren had an affair, and Michael’s cancer scare. Through it all, they kept fighting for each other, and THAT is what makes them relationship goals!
Michael even recreated their wedding cake, and as they shared a slice, they acknowledged that while they’ve been fortunate, they’ve also faced their fair share of challenges. But they never stopped choosing each other, and after twenty years, that’s BEAUTIFUL!
Phyllis Summers Crashed the Party (Obviously)
Because this is Genoa City and nothing can stay peaceful for more than five minutes, Phyllis Summers wandered down from her room and spotted Michael and Lauren’s anniversary celebration. She joked that they’d rented out “her living room” for the occasion, and Michael immediately told her they didn’t need their anniversary crashed by a “party crasher”!
But Lauren, ever the peacemaker, asked them both to play nice for her anniversary. What followed was actually SWEET—they all acknowledged their unbreakable bond and shared some lovely flashbacks of their friendship over the years. Phyllis even admitted she’s in awe of Michael and Lauren’s 20-year relationship and proud she got to be part of it!
After a group hug (yes, really!), Phyllis left with a smile, and Michael admitted that while Phyllis annoys him sometimes, they need her in their lives. Character growth, people!
Las Vegas, Baby!
The episode ended with Michael presenting Lauren with one final surprise—a carry-on bag with a bow on it! The card read “I hope you’re feeling lucky, because the four winds of good fortune are blowing your way!” The four winds? That’s Michael, Lauren, and their sons Fenmore and Scott!
They’re heading to Las Vegas for a romantic getaway, and as they slow-danced in the GCAC, Lauren laughed that she kept expecting Elvis to pop out like he did at their first wedding! Michael Baldwin really is the king of romance, and Y&R gave us the anniversary celebration this couple DESERVED!
