TL;DR: Jack Abbott and company have decided to shut down Jabot to keep it away from The Almighty Victor Newman. What in the what? Jack’s BFF, Nikki Newman, is wondering what is up with this as well, while Young and the Restless fans are wondering why Nikki Newman needs to know about any of this. Also, almost as dumb as Nikki Newman knowing is that Billy Abbott’s girlfriend, Sally Spectra, knows as well. Like brother, like brother?? WHY??!!
The Abbott Brothers Are Not Even Trying
Is it Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his brother Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) first freaking day in Genoa City on Young and the Restless? It’s actually not brand new information that there aren’t any secrets in GC. Jack and Billy Boy aren’t even trying to keep the biggest secret in the history of Jabot Cosmetics… They’ve both told their lady friends, who are both known to tell things, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Sally Spectra has stuck her nose where it hasn’t belonged plenty of times since she landed in Genoa City. Remember when Sally revealed to Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) held up in Peru? Um, yeah. Oh, and as for Nikki Newman, she’s as loyal to Victor as he is evil. Why in the world would Jack Abbott trust her?

Sally Spectra Means Well and Nikki Newman Loves Herself
At least Sally Spectra means well, yet continues to find herself getting into trouble. Young and the Restless fans are STILL hearing about the STILL pending Abbott Communications launch party. By dating and doing business with Billy Boy, she has attached herself to a virus. Now she’s also connected to the new not-so-secret investor of Abbott Communications, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). Well, guess who else is connected to Jill Abbott… The Almighty Victor Newman, who is married to Nikki Newman.
Nikki Newman loves herself and will do everything in her power to keep her life comfortable at the expense of anyone else in Genoa via talking out of both sides of her mouth.
The Final Countdown
So, it’s the final countdown… How long before Sally tells Jill that the Abbotts are shutting down Jabot? Then, like a classic game of telephone, how long will it take for Jill to tell Victor Newman that the Abbotts are shutting down Jabot? The Mustache will be filled with joy and will have to tell his darling wife, Nikki, and then she will confirm.
…and we all know how this will end. Victor Newman will win again on Young and the Restless…
