NICK NEWMAN IS CAPTIVE AND THE CLOCK IS TICKING

TL;DR: Nick Newman is in Matt Clark’s hands on The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of April 13, and by Wednesday Chelsea shows up in Vegas. Adam forces Matt’s hand, Sharon hits the road to help Nick, Victor and Nikki’s reconciliation turns volatile, and Diane Jenkins rejects a truce only to team up with Victor by Friday.

This Week in Genoa City

Nick Newman is tied up in a storage room with a man who has made it very clear he does not intend to kill him. What Matt Clark has planned is far worse. He wants to feed Nick’s addiction until he does not know his own name, and then go after everyone Nick loves. Adam Newman knows something has gone wrong and will spend the early part of this week trying to find his brother, but it is Chelsea Lawson who will show up in Vegas on Wednesday and change the game entirely. By Thursday Adam will force Matt’s hand, and by Friday Sharon Newman will hit the road because she is done sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring.

Meanwhile, Victor Newman and Nikki Newman‘s attempt at reconciliation will turn volatile, Phyllis Summers will make the ultimate sacrifice for her success, Diane Jenkins will reject Nikki’s truce offer, and by Friday Victor and Diane will join forces to give Jack Abbott a taste of his own medicine, which is a sentence nobody in Genoa City ever expected to read.

Monday, April 13

Victor and Nikki Newman’s attempt at reconciliation will take a volatile turn, and given how badly things have been going between them since the Patty Williams disaster, volatile could mean anything from a screaming match to a point of no return. Phyllis Summers will make the ultimate sacrifice for her success, and that word “sacrifice” is doing a lot of heavy lifting considering her children have already told her they want nothing to do with her empire. And Adam will place a risky bet, which in Vegas could be literal or figurative, and knowing Adam, it is probably both.

Tuesday, April 14

Diane Jenkins will reject Nikki’s offer to call a truce, and honestly, given what Victor did to Jack, nobody can blame her for not wanting to shake hands with anyone named Newman right now. Holden Novak will inform Cane Ashby about his new family dynamics, and Cane finding out that the guy he has been working with is actually Malcolm Winters’ son is going to be a lot for both of them. And Lily Winters will voice her concerns to Stephanie Simmons about Malcolm Winters‘ condition, because the clock on finding a donor is not slowing down for anyone.

Wednesday, April 15

Chelsea will surprise Adam and Riza in Las Vegas, and we knew the moment she said she was done waiting that this woman was going to get on a plane. Matt Clark will strike back against Nick Newman, which means whatever Nick’s captivity has looked like so far, it is about to get worse. And Sharon will work to repair Devon Hamilton and Mariah Copeland‘s friendship, because Sharon fixing other people’s problems while her own world is on fire is the most Sharon Newman thing that has ever happened.

Thursday, April 16

Jack will lean on Nikki, and the fact that these two continue to find their way back to each other in a crisis is either beautiful or the exact thing that keeps setting Victor off, depending on which side of this war you are on. Adam will force Matt Clark’s hand, and given that Nick is still captive, whatever Adam does this week is going to have consequences for his brother one way or another. And Sally Spectra‘s patience will be tested, which suggests someone in her orbit is pushing buttons they should not be pushing.

Friday, April 17

Victor will help Diane give Jack a taste of his own medicine, and we need everyone to sit with that sentence for a moment. Victor Newman and Diane Jenkins teaming up. The man who orchestrated Patty Williams’ attack on Jack is now helping Jack’s wife get revenge on him. That is either the most twisted alliance in Genoa City history or the beginning of something nobody is going to survive intact. Lauren Fenmore and Michael Baldwin will begin a new chapter, which sounds warm and hopeful and is exactly the kind of thing Genoa City needs right now. And Sharon will hit the road to help Nick Newman, because waiting was never an option for a woman who loves that man the way she does.

Victor Newman and Diane Jenkins are teaming up against Jack Abbott. Chelsea is in Vegas. And Sharon is hitting the road to find Nick Newman. Which storyline has you screaming at your screen this week? Sound off below!
