WHAT IF NICK NEWMAN SEDUCES RIZA THOMSON FOR FENTANYL

TL;DR: Nick Newman is in Las Vegas with Adam hunting Matt Clark, but Riza Thomson is Matt’s fentanyl connection and Nick has not been clean for weeks. What if his addiction hijacks the mission, he seduces Riza for her stash, and she wakes up and calls the one man on earth who would burn Nick Newman’s life to ash on The Young and the Restless?

A Good Man on a Good Mission With a Very Bad Secret

Nick Newman went to Las Vegas for all the right reasons. Matt Clark has been sending death threats to Noah’s phone like a man writing love letters to chaos. He has been lurking, taunting, promising to dismantle everything the Newmans have ever built. So Nick did what Nick does. He asked Adam Newman to reach into his Spider past and help him track Matt through the one person who connects them all. Riza Thomson. Matt Clark’s fentanyl supplier. The so called Vegas Queen who greeted Adam with a loaded gun the last time he came knocking.

Brave mission. Loyal brother on his flank. Very noble.

Except Nick Newman is lying to everyone he loves and the cracks are getting wider by the hour.

Sharon Newman sat across from Chelsea and said she was glad Nick stopped taking his pain medication. Sweet, trusting Sharon. She did not see Nick on the Crimson Lights patio, popping fentanyl like breath mints before a sit down with Adam. She was not there the day he hurled a pill into the snow, stared at it, wrestled with himself for all of three seconds, and then fished it out of the slush and swallowed it whole. And she certainly did not hear Sienna Bacall tell Noah Newman that the hollow look on Nick’s face when he pops those pills is the exact same look her brother had before he overdosed and never woke up.

Sharon thinks the worst is behind them. Honey, the worst just checked into a Vegas hotel under a fake name.

The Moment Nick Newman Realizes What Riza Thomson Is Sitting On

Here is where the mission goes from noble to nuclear.

Adam makes contact. Information starts flowing. And somewhere in that conversation, Nick puts the pieces together. Riza Thomson is not some retired Vegas socialite. She is the pipeline. She is the woman who keeps Matt Clark’s fentanyl operation running. And she is sitting on a supply of the exact substance that has had Nick Newman white-knuckling his way through every waking hour, renewing prescriptions before bottles were empty, and swallowing pills in the snow like a man who has already surrendered.

Picture it. Adam leaves the suite to follow a lead. Nick is alone. His leg is throbbing. His prescription is gone. And somewhere in this city, a woman has a mountain of the one thing that makes the screaming stop.

What if the mission stops mattering? What if every good intention that brought Nick to Vegas evaporates the second his body reminds him what it needs?

The Newman Charm Gets Him Into a Lot of Places. This Time It Might Get Him Killed.

Riza Thomson pulled a gun on Adam, and she used to like Adam. She is not handing anything to anyone out of the goodness of her heart. So what if Nick decides the only currency that works on a woman like Riza is the one thing he has always had in abundance?

Himself.

Picture it. He finds her on his own. He is wounded and handsome and radiating the kind of tortured intensity that makes dangerous women lean in instead of pull away. He buys her a drink. Then another. He tells her a version of the truth that sounds romantic instead of pathetic. And before the Vegas sun comes up, Nick Newman is in Riza Thomson’s bed. Not because he wants her. Because he wants what she has.

And while she sleeps? He goes through her things. Takes exactly what he came for. And walks back to the hotel suite with stolen fentanyl in his pocket and a ticking bomb strapped to his entire life.

You Do Not Steal From Matt Clark’s Supplier and Live Quietly

Here is the part that is going to haunt every single The Young and the Restless fan who reads this.

Riza Thomson is going to wake up. She is going to know what happened. And she is not going to call the police. She is going to call Matt Clark. The very man Nick flew to Vegas to take down is about to receive a phone call from his own supplier telling him that Nick Newman, the golden prince of the Newman empire, seduced her for access, used her body as a distraction, and stole her fentanyl while she slept.

Matt Clark with that information is a weapon of mass destruction. Imagine him texting it to Sharon. Dropping it on Victor. Sending it to Noah, the same Noah whose girlfriend watched her own brother die from the exact same drug Nick just stole. Imagine Sienna reading that message and knowing she was right all along. That the man her boyfriend’s family worships has the same dead eyes her brother had at the end.

And Adam? Adam is going to walk into that hotel suite, see his brother glassy eyed and wrecked, and realize that the man who asked for his help just torched the entire mission. Every lead. Every advantage. Gone. Because Nick Newman could not make it one night in the same city as a fentanyl supply without crawling into the dealer’s bed.

The man who came to Vegas as a protector is about to leave as Matt Clark’s easiest target. And Sharon is still back in Genoa City, telling people Nick is fine.

He is not fine. He is the furthest thing from fine.

Do you think Nick Newman is about to hand Matt Clark the weapon to destroy him? And when Riza Thomson wakes up, is there any universe where Nick makes it out of Vegas with his life intact? Drop your hottest take below because this comment section is about to go absolutely nuclear!

WATCH THIS: Will drugs turn Nick into a killer?

@soapoperamag Is Nick on the verge of doing the UNTHINKABLE? Nick is known for being a level headed nice guy but fentanyl is destroying him really fast. Will he pop too many pills, get way too strung out, and go entirely way too far to destroy Matt?! Will Nick commit murder and wind up behind bars for the rest of his life? I hope not but it seems that's the road he's going down. #YR #YoungandtheRestless #YRSpoilers ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
