They love him too much to see clearly.

But Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) does not have that blind spot.

The show has been quietly laying out something specific about Sienna: she has a past connected to the criminal underworld, she is steadily drifting away from Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), and she is embedded in the Newman orbit in a way that is clearly not accidental writing. She understands what real darkness looks like up close. She has survived it. My gut tells me the writers have been building toward a moment where Nick Newman hits his lowest point and the only person standing there — willing to go down into that darkness without flinching — is Sienna. Could this mean a romance? Given where both of these characters are headed, it would be genuinely shocking if it did not. The connection would be built on something real. Survival. Shared understanding. The kind of bond that does not come from obligation or history but from having both looked at the worst version of yourself and chosen to keep going.

Controversial? Absolutely. Compelling? Without question.
